Feels sturdy and reliable
on August 5, 2017

This case is a really good item. Not amazing, but really good. Feels sturdy, durable and reliable . Hard plastic reinforced internally with soft rubber and extra cushioning on the corners. I feel no worries about what would happen f I dropped this.
Only flaws I can find are
1. The dust flaps on the bottom might get worn out in time from opening and closing so frequently.
2. The soft rubber areas around the front of the frame located next to the buttons seem to pry open very easily. Meaning if it was to catch on something it could easily get inside the case or maybe damage the phones screen...in a way this defeats the purpose of the anti dust ports and is a weakness of the design.
The bezel keeps the front of the phone off the table and the case has enough on the back to keep the phones camera/sensors off the table. You could go with less and get the symmetry case by otterbox...or more and get the defender .....but I feel tnis is just right in the middle. Much happier with this instead of my tech21 tactical. That thing had little to no protection on the bottom, ports over exposed, and no protection on the bottom back . This address all the areas I had issues with.....its not perfect, but a great improvement. Fyi it's tempered glass friendly. Just applied a invisishield for the S8 (generation 2) with no compatibility issues . Fits great and gives me piece of mind that my $750 phone is protected from drops and spills onto the floor.

Design flaw..not worth it

The case is great all over, rugged, feels comfy in my hand, doesn't scratch....however
Buttons are realy stiff, bottom of the case is flimsy, ports and bottom of the phone are over exposed.
I purchased this case based on my last experience with tech21 because I loved the protection it offered while maintaining a slim design.....This went even slimmer on the bottom to the point where it feels like it's gonna come off the bottom front. Very squishy and flexes a lot. Remember this is a phone covered in gorilla glass...its strong, but still glass....This design flaw puts it at risk of shattering if you somehow hit the bottom of the phone on the soft back or front lip....top is fine, the bottom not so much. This is a common report about this case . Will be returning it for a more protective case by otterbox or Speck. Very disappointed and let down.

Perfect for upgrading my Xbox One
on January 17, 2015

So, as most people who own an Xbox One know that the 500GB memory on the system is a joke. If you own 8-10 games then you're already done because the 500GB is not really 500GB, more like 370GB. I ran out of space fast, and this was a perfect solution to increase my capacity. Plugged it in, the system recognised it and formatted it for the Xbox. It's silent, runs a little warm, but nothing to worry about. I have ALL my games saved to it, freeing up my internal memory. Key things to look for in an external hard drive for the Xbox One are 7200rpm and USB 3.0. This met both requirements. Then its simply a case of cost vs memory size. The 7200rpm helps select games load faster. Sometimes it can be by a gap of 20 seconds, sometimes a few seconds and times where there's no change at all, it just depends on the game. Sadly most external hard drives that Best Buy offers in store are limited to the slower 5400rpm and an external HDD that uses only a USB to power them. You'll mostly find that the 500GB - 2TB uses only USB (this Buffalo requires a dedicated outlet due to the size and speed of this model). If anything, just youtube the speed comparison videos of 5400rpm Vs 7200rpm for consoles (not PC). The 5400rpm is the same speed as the one internally so if you're happy with read/write times then you'll be able to get a cheaper, larger drive.
I have no issues with this hard drive. I got it on sale for cheaper than advertised. I love it. And if need be, I can add another external in the future should the need arise.

Better than I expected
on January 15, 2015

So I had the 'Marshall Mode' headphones and they broke. The left earbud went bad. I had the protection plan and it covered me getting a replacement pair. Upon doing so I decided to upgrade to the EQ version and pay the difference due to a sale price. Boy was it worth it!. The whole EQ really does help with either giving you a better bass response or better treble at a flick of a switch. The build quality is next to none. The cord, mic placement, L shaped reinforced jack, the angled earpieces are all great. The jack is reinforced with metal so no bending or in line breakage which is a issue with most headphones. I listen to mostly rock/metal/heavy metal/ classic rock... so Marshall just seemed to be the perfect choice. It has plenty of bass and good clean mids/treble. One does not dominate the other. I cant stress enough that you make sure you use the right size earbud. Use the wrong size and you lose the bass, you lose the noise isolation, you lose the clarity and performance you're paying for and might as well get a cheaper lesser performing pair. I tried the ones on it at first but had too much background noise polluting my ear canals and lower bass (size M by default). I changed to the L size and BAM! the quality and sound improved ten fold. Yeah they are pricey, yeah they are sealed inside so you can't really look at them...but trust me, it's worth it. It works with Android and Apple (maybe even Blackberry???) It has 1 button inline and its a single or multi click system to control the music on the device or Spotify. Most people run to Bose or BEATS to have the more trendy brand name....don't...If you really care about audio then do yourself a favour and check these out. Better build AND sound quality. I've tried Skullcandy Titans and the 50/50 version, Bose mIE2, UrBeats (SIMILAR PRICES) and these are number #1, followed by Skullcandy Titans #2 . Beats/Bose you're paying for the name. The build quality is horrible and sound performance is average.
On a side note I strongly recommend getting the protection plan. It covers normal wear and tear and accidental damage. I've purchased it on all my headphones and its paid off every time. Take them in and easily change them when they break with no issue. Now you may think I'm aggressive and mistreat my headphones, nope...I just have rotten luck. No kids or animals damage them...they just break...thinks its because I sit on them in my back pocket o.O The store I shop at takes care of fulfilling the plans and making it painless. Plans pay off, you may not think its worth it but when something happens its simple/easy to get replaced and back up and running.

Internet Connectable?Yes
Connected to the Internet:Yes
So I had been looking for a TV for some time and holding out because I could not find what I wanted for the price I wanted to spend. Then this caught my eye and I'm not disappointed. Great value for the price, specs, features, connections...its all there for the perfect price. My only gripes, are 3 things...(1) The remote feels ultra cheap...I mean really really cheap, plus its weird in the sense of the batteries are located at the top of the remote so it is top heavy, (2) The response time of pressing the buttons and the TV responding seems to be hit or miss...takes 2 or 3 tries of pushing buttons sometimes....(3) The actual responsiveness of the menus is a little meh....needs to be more snappy...not a deal breaker, but what can you expect for a low price tv. If you want a good TV for a very good price then you can't go wrong with this TV. Dont go into it expecting a TV equivalent to Samsung or Sony LED TV's...again this is a steal of a TV for a great price. For most people this TV will be sufficient to replace a aging TV or a new smart TV purchase or someone who is not a audio or videophile...meaning spending a thousand or so more for it to say Samsung or Sony on the front. As for the smart features, they don't work well on any brand. It's like they (or any TV brand) took a basic android phones apps and put them onto the TV....it works, but not great. The benefits of this are 1080P, LED, 120Hz, 55"......thats where you expectations should begin and end. This TV shines when you get used to it and have tailored the settings to your needs and desires.....takes a few tweaks and trial and error.....but once done....it works like a gem. Very happy. If you're worried about this TV then buy the protection plan and get covered with in home service by Geekaquad. Bottom line they fix it or replace it if something was to go wrong. Though I believe this will last some time :-)

Build or modify your own PC:Yes
Level of Expertise:Average
Primary reason for building/modifying PC:Gaming
I needed a replacement PSU (power supply unit) to upgrade my system for gaming purposes. Had my eye on this for sometime and got it at a very good price. I had no issue installing this. had a few extra cables left over when I was done inside and not many places to put them, so i ended up shoving them inside a spare bay. Runs cool, don't hear a thing, plenty of connectors and gets the job done. I'm going to be running 4GB of RAM on a AMD Athlon quad core CPU and soon a graphics card. This gives me more than enough power for my purposes.
Don't know what I was expecting this to do as far as a stand out feature being its simply a power supply. Love it and I think its a great purchase.

Great value

Recently purchased a Razer Deathadder and once in a while the sensor would freak out. I started researching to see what the situation was about. Some people said it could be a dusty sensor (not possible because it was brand new) and others said it might be due to the surface of the mouse pad. Due to the really high DPI of the mouse any imperfection from the old or damaged mousepad would cause it to behave erratic. Since I bought this I have had no issues with my cursor freaking out. Sure there are better pads (don't know what makes them better), but for my purposes this is great and it fixed my issue with the odd movement..

good sound, great fit, bad build quality

These only lasted me 2 weeks, very poor build quality. Overall I really loved these, but they broke far too easy. The mic started coming apart and the cord by the jack suffered internal damage so it broke. Returned for a refund. Loved them overall for the great sound, noise isolation and the fit. But just really really bad build quality.
Also the drivers are actually 11mm not 9mm like the site says so. really great bass but not so much that it over powers the mids and highs. Better than bandwagon Beats as far as sound.
Would buy these again if they redesigned these to be much more durable and rugged.

I expected more from these for the price

These offer great clarity but that is where the speaker sound quality ends. They have a good durable cord with rubber enforcements and a right angle jack (great for cable durability), but like most headphones in this price range they seem to have a very cheap feel to the earbuds. Feels cheap and tacky. As for the sound they sound good, provided you have NO AMBIENT NOISE around you e.g people talking, traffic, or anything, these let ALL noise in and ruin the sound quality. There are much cheaper headphones that offer better sound, better bass AND block out noise through noise isolation tips. Its simply through the shape of the ear tip that does it, these rest on the ear canal and not IN the canal...therefore noise pollutes your music. noise Isolation uses a shaped tip, noise cancellation uses a additional power source to block noise BUT costs a lot more.
I tried to like them, but it was simply not happening. You buy these, your buying the name BOSE to show off, nothing more. Also heres a tip, if you're buying headphones for ANDROID/Blackberry/Windows you need a pair of headphones that has 1 MIC/Button, if you do 3 button it won't work right on Android (at least the volume controls, as for the mic its 50/50). So pick carefully. At Least they offer a return policy of 15 days for a exchange or full refund. Sadly there seems to be a abundance of headphones/earphones that offer Apple/IOS support but so very little that cater to Android or others. The industry in general needs to fix that.

Great headset, not durable enough
on June 5, 2014

How Often Used:Daily
So I was looking for a headset for a long time that worked with Android that was had the following: Android support, inline mic, noise isolation, good bass, great clarity, good fit and did not break the bank. After a lot of searching around I found these. I dont regret getting them one bit. Loved everything about them except: not durable, suffered internal wire damage by the jack and felt cheap with the spaghetti design wire (which is supposed to help with anti tangle design <--- this is a nice idea but seems to make the wire weaker), poor plastic housing for the buds/mic and the mic itself is lower down the wire where my chest was, instead of being by the jawline so phone calls were not that great because it would always rub against my shirt or I had to lower my chin to my chest to be heard. This is a great headset, but has its flaws. I got these for lower than the advertised price. This is a great headset, but does not feel like a $100 pair. I had these for only five months before they gave out, luckily I had the GSP plan on them so I was able to exchange them for another, however they did not have any in stock so I upgraded to a pair of Bose Android MIE2 (not IOS MIE2i) that was a bad mistake. See another review by me for the scoop on those.
The sound on them is great, I can't fault them in that regard, needs to be re designed and made more durable all round from the housing, the cable, mic placement, and jack being angled instead of straight for durability...then it would be worth every penny. If you get these you'll love the sound, but be warned...if you have these in your pocket all the time the jack/wire will give out before the bud........trust me buy the protection plan, you wont regret it.
If they change these things, then it would be worth every penny and have the right to be called a premium headset in the $80+ price range..

why can i only hear one side of my beats studio 2?

It works when i move the cable but then after a couple minutes later the problem continues-_-e
The cable or the cable area located by the jack itself is damaged. Needs to be replaced. Take it into the store and ask a associate to test a Remotetalk cable (Beats cable with inline mic) or a standard AUX cable to see if that fixes it. Its a common problem with headphones. Like I said it primarily happens at the base of the jack where it connects to the phone.

will best buy fix my broken headphones?

i ordered a pair of revjams xec bluetooth headphones online from bestbuy and now they are broken but the bluetooth still works and it plays out of one ear will best buy fix it? it came with a one year waranty
You have 15 days to return/exchange for another pair and you can do that in store, even if you ordered them online. Also If you have the protection plan then yes, Best Buy will exchange for a new pair in store on the spot (provided they are in stock) and it covers normal wear and tear and accidental damage for 2 years. If not then you have the manufacturer's warranty and you would need to contact them. Most of the time you have to ship it out to them then they either fix them, replace them with new or refurbished units.
