Easy Install and Operation

Sorry guys, I thought maybe there was a typo. I read "five" ports, I thought that maybe there would be a designated input port for the router, and five output ports to devices.
Does exactly what I expect it to do.

Slightly Disappointed
on July 25, 2015

The first LP arrived and as soon as I placed the needle onto the record, I heard severe static. Then during the quiet moments (basically when moving onto the next song) I hear pops. This is supposed to be a new LP, not used. I don't expect to hear that much noise when playing any Vinyl Record for the first time.
So, I went to the store, returned it, and ordered another LP. I wouldn't say that the replacement product was much of an improvement, but at least I didn't hear as many snap, crackle, and pops.

Sony Does It Again!
on July 5, 2015

There have been a few inaccurate specifications listed on Best Buys website and I would like to clarify them before concentrating on the TV itself.
USB Cable - No
Energy Star Certified - Yes
2 USB Ports
1 Digital Optical Outputs
Now for the TV, Impressive Design, Features, Color, and Clarity. A snap to setup, including network connectivity. The audio wasn't nearly as impressive as I anticipated. Granted we are dealing with a thinner bezel, so Sony was unable to place the speakers in the front. Down firing speakers with a small shield to direct the sound outward needs improving. Luckily, I have my flat panel connected to my Sony 7.1 Home Theater System.
The picture quality is exceptional. It is sort of surprising to see images on the screen appeared to be so "real", and this on the default settings. I rid of myself of pay television a few months ago, and have OTA (Over The Air# reception. The signal is uncompressed, and the audio is in Dolby Digital 5.1/ Dolby Digital Plus. The tuner is sensitive enough that it detects 39 HD/ SD stations that are available in my area with the assistance of an outdoor antenna. Plus the TV works well with my subscription free DVR. I was slightly disappointed that this unit did not have an automatic Light sensor. Instead, you have to manually change the brightness under "Eco".
This unit is packed full of features, where it can be quite overwhelming, and not everything is covered in the Manual. Instead, you have to utilize the #On Screen) i-Manual.
I love the BRAVIA Sync, and it works great with my other Sony components.
I would definitely recommend this LED Smart HDTV to anyone.

Madonna's First Eclectic Album
on June 10, 2015

I have followed Madonna since 1982. I recall seeing her in CBGBs in the heart of the West Village. With that said, I have become accustomed to her style of music. This album is quite different. It provides a mixture of tastes. Something that not everyone would agree was a strategic move on her part.
Vinyl Quality: Flimsy vinyl, liner notes are non-existent, and some audio distortion. People are returning to Vinyl records purchases because the sound is supposedly not "digitized", as it is with a CD. But there have been reports where record companies, for example "Interscope" are using the same source they use for CD, and applying it onto a vinyl format. This defeats the purpose of buying an album in the first place. I will not pay 30 something dollars to hear what is meant for a compact disk, than applied to vinyl. People are willing to spend the extra dollars, provided the quality is there. Don't blow this opportunity.

Love it, Recommend It, what else can I say. Oh, let's try quality. The recordings offer deep bass, and crystal clear highs. The vinyl is a heavy gage composition.

Never Gets Boring!
on March 18, 2015

I have quite the movie collection. When watching some of those movies, I end up falling asleep, but not with this one. I first bought this back in 1996 and still watch it till this day. Needless to say, I was excited to learn that it has been released on Blu-Ray. The Colors are more vibrant, and audio Is decent. Since this is a high definition movie, I thought they would have used DTS-HD Master Audio/ Essential for the audio. Dolby Digital 5.1 is so DVD-ish, not to mention 5.1. Why aren't there more 7.1 and 8.1 movies on the shelves?????

Build or modify your own PC:Yes
Level of Expertise:Expert
Primary reason for building/modifying PC:Multimedia (music, movies, photos)
I just purchased this fan for an inlet configuration. After install, I pulled up my Intel Utility Program, and it indicates that this fan is running at 500 RPM, while the outlet fan is running at 1069 RPM.
According to the specs on the back of the package, it verifies that It should be running at 650 RPM. No wonder this fan is so quiet.
Plan on making an exchange.

A Must Try 12" Active Subwoofer
on March 9, 2008
Posted by: TheInspector069
from Belleville, IL
I bought this SA-W3000 to replace my old SA-WM40. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase. As far as price, it was less than what I had paid for my old Sony eight years ago, so I am not complaining (on sale for $169.99). After reading some of the Customer Reviews, I agree about what has been said about its overall appearance. There is an option of concealing it behind a piece of furniture, behind a sofa, or oversized chair. Besides, isn’t a subwoofer supposed to be heard and not seen? Personally, I like it without the round grill cloth. Definitely, this subwoofer gives you plenty of “boom for the buck”. I would recommend this to anyone, and remember you can always return it; thanks to Best Buy’s no hassle return policy (30 days).
What's great about it: Inexpensive and Satisfying Bass at Low Listening Levels
What's not so great: Level/ Phase/ Cut Off Freq located in the rear.

This is a pricy until with limited functionality. For example, limited memory, limited shuffle accessibility, Wi-Fi Limitations, (but for a few dollars in addition, you can purchase a wireless converter device). The player is a tad sluggish when access discs. Sony also needs to increase the size of the thumbnails next to the titles. In a way I can understand why Sony neglected to include the USB port for a keyboard (trying to cut costs, maybe?). Grace Note does not provide information for home made discs. It is real tedious keying in the titles using the remote. Not being able to access online content isn't as important to me as well with others, because I have my computer connected to my large flat panel plus, l also have AT&T U-Verse.
With that said, I do like the player. I enjoy the fact that it plays all the discs that I own, including (DVD_+R, -R. RW's). The picture quality is exceptional. The sound is outstanding with the assistance of my new STR-DN1010 A/V receiver, and its’ overall appearance and the capacity of discs it houses is impressive. Now we’re going to talk about size. I didn’t mind that the unit was 9.5 inches in height, but the depth is a little extreme. When I discovered that it was 21-1/ 10 inches deep, I had to make a few small modifications to my entertainment wall unit. This is not the type of device that you can just plug in.
I just ask of Sony, that if and when they decide to come out with a upgrade to this unit, that they include those features that have been left out. “Listen to the Reviewers” especially on your site.

Sony Has Done It Again!
By TheInspector069 from Belleville, IL
Note: The Specs are inaccurate. There is no USB cable included, there are Two Available USB Ports, and this device is Energy Star Certified.
The picture quality is exceptional. It provides a sense of realism. Unfortunately, I can not say the same for the sound. Granted sound separation, and surround sound is impressive through the internal speakers. The overall sound quality is tinny. I have attempted to utilize the sound enhancement settings including equalization, and this provided little to no improvement. Luckily, I have my TV connected to my Sony 7.1 Home Theater System.
I have discovered an issue with sound decoding when watching Netflix and Vudu programming. When selecting a movie, the audio default ( which is listed under Subtitles and Language) is supposed to be Dolby Digital Plus 5.1. Unfortunately, the signal sent from the TV is Dolby Digital 5.1. My receive decodes all the current audio codec including DTS HD Master Audio. I have contacted Sony on this issue, and was told that this problem will be resolved when the new firmware update is released in August, 2015.
This device is packed with features. Features that I will probably never use, but at least you know that they are available. However, there are two features that were eliminated, and yet were not removed from the menu. One would think, you remove the feature, you removed the feature in the menu as well. Microsoft does I with Windows, Sony can do it with their devices. Browsing using the browser app is slow, which is surprising when connected to a network that is running and bandwidth of 100 Mbps.
All in all, I enjoy this set, and am happy I made this purchase.

I was Misinformed, No Update as Sony Promised!
November 18, 2015
Ref:# E61519271
Sony has the worst C/S support compared to the competitors. Back in July, I noticed that the Dolby Digital Plus signal from Netflix (TV to Receiver HDMI connectivity) is not being sent to my Sony 7.1 Home Theatre System. When I did get a hold of someone, we attempted a few configurations. But to no avail, it was unsuccessful. Then, I was told that a software update was to be released in August. I also informed them that I have a DVR that offers Netflix as well, and was able to receive the Dolby Digital Plus signal with that device.
Guess what? It was total bull. The last update was back on June 25,2015. I do not enjoy being lied to.
Update: After reviewing the specs again, it appears that the TV will receive (Understand) the Dolby Digital Plus signal, but downgrades it to Dolby Digital 5.1. Kind of a waste, when I have a receive that decodes all the current audio codecs.

Your graphics card should specify the power supply required. Start from there and go as high as you would like. Plus make sure that the connectors fit your motherboard, and allow for expandability.

Currently I have an 850w power supply with an Intel DZ87KLT-75k motherboard, I7 4770k, 3.50GHz Processor, 2 Asus Blu-Ray Player/ Recorder Internal Drives, etc.

can i order an item to the store and pay cash there instead of using a credit card

From past experience, you need a credit card to place an order. Once you arrive at the store, they should be able to return the item, and re ring as a cash item.
