Don't be fooled

Freak out song is a second time loss (at least). Only half the tracks are Alice, the rest is old blues tunes. Which would be fine if the ACG recorded them.
What's great about it: very little
What's not so great: it's not an Alice album
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Zombies and half naked chicks

I bought this for myself as a birthday present right after it came out. The name caught my attention so I read about it. The main character wears a bikini, cowboy boots, cowboy hat, and a feather boa while killing zombies with a sword. Sadly though that's about all it's got. The game becomes very tedious and repetitive fairly quickly. To this day I still haven't finished it. It has become a time waster and nothing more. Also you should know the dialog was never dubed into English. So this is one that you should only buy if you're big into zombies and find it as a really cheap game.
What's great about it: Just what the headline says, zombies and half naked chicks
What's not so great: extremly repetitive
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Learn more about Brütal Legend. (Flash demo) Eddie Riggs is an ordinary roadie, little dreaming that a more exciting and extreme fate lies in store for him. When he gets sucked into a mythical Age of Rock, he finds himself cast as an unlikely hero in a universe in which rock rules. Join him for a head-banging journey in which he'll fight evil, find love and discover his life's purpose, not to mention command the awesome power of rock.Jack Black stars as Eddie the Roadie in the heavy-metal open world of Brütal Legend. Roam through a world of chrome, leather, rocker babes, epic music, mountains made of guitar amps and fire-breathing, stud-wearing beasts. Arm yourself with an axe, a guitar and a group of minions as you set out to liberate an army of headbangers from a life of oppression, unleashing the power of rock on all who dare oppose you. Use your demon-slaying, electricity-creating guitar to summon objects, buff your teammates and cripple your opponents, and rock out to a soundtrack that tears through every era of metal music, from classic '70s metal to '80s hair metal to the scarier metal cousins of the '90s.

Almost great

From the descriptions of the game I was anticipating greatness and it almost achieved it. I was leery going into it because I don't like Jack Black, but he's not as annoying in this as he usually is. I'm sure it was told somewhere, but I missed it, that most of the game's missions would be done as RTS. I HATE RTS games, always have. Had the game not been as amusing as it is I would have returned the game after the first band battle. The demo only shows the first bit of the game leading you to believe it's a hack and slash. So if you like metal, Jack Black and RTS this is a winner.
What's great about it: Great cameos, Great music
What's not so great: It's a bad marrage of GTA and RTS
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a repackaging of an album I became aware of over 20 years ago. My brother had it and it was called Science Fiction if I remember correctly. As I was a fan myself, but had none of his work I borrowed all my brother had. I saw this one in his tape collection and asked why he never let me hear it. His answer was that only half the songs are Alice. The rest are old blues songs. Not bad if they were covered by Alice, but no it's other artists singing their own stuff on a supposed Alice album. Years later I found it under the name Freak Out Song. Now I see that it has resurfaced again to tempt the newest generation of Alice fans.
What's great about it: The old songs few remember
What's not so great: the songs that are NOT Alice
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
