I have owned the ProMonitor 800's for about 6 months and still can not believe the sound they produce. I use these as bookshelf speakers in a 2 speaker stereo setup in my home office (12'x12'). I am using a vintage NAD 7220 PE receiver (set at 4 ohms) and Nakamichi CD Player 4 all hooked up with Monster Cable and could not be more impressed by the music this system produces. After "breaking in" the speakers for about 40-50 hours, the richness and full sound./.bass really showed itself. I was considering purchasing a sub woofer but after the break in period NO sub is needed.
The full sound is simply amazing!

What's not so great: NOTHING
I would recommend this to a friend!
