I went and bought this cd thinking it was a safe bet it would be as good, if not better then their last cd's. I wish I would have known that it wasn't your standard LP cd. I hate techno, and thats basically all this cd is. Not much in the way of lyrics, and annoying, overplayed, repetitive notes that will make you want to start bashing your head against a wall. Like I said, I want my money back. I couldnt be any more disappointed in LP right now.
What's great about it: Nothing at all. Pure crapola.
After the death of Layne Staley, I really never thought I would see the day another Alice in Chains album would drop, let alone a good one. This has the classic Alice in Chains sound in every song, with a nice polish for a good, crisp sound. They are good at mixing the flow and tempo up with a few slower, melo songs but can still rock out with throwing a few faster paced, harder rock tunes on the record. I would recommend any fan of Alice in Chains of years past check out the new record, I highly doubt they will be dissapointed. My only complaint is the cover art leaves a little to be desired. Then again, I don't buy a CD for the art work outside, just whats inside.
