You frequently become frustrated by typing — you can't type the words as fast as you're thinking them and staring at a blank page tends to make you forget what you wanted to say. You're not a fan of spelling, or you simply dislike the inconvenience of having to sit at a desk in front of a screen. Yet there are parts of everyday life that make typing a necessity, whether it's for work, school or correspondence with friends and family. By taking typing out of the equation and bringing in the ability to speak what you need written out, then productivity, creativity and speed in which you complete your tasks increase. Dragon NaturallySpeaking 12 does exactly that — takes your spoken words and translates them into written text with speed and accuracy.Dragon NaturallySpeaking 12 Premium turns your speech into text three times faster than typing for a wide variety of computer-related tasks. You can compose and send e-mail, control your PC, search the Web, save files, switch windows and launch applications, as well as work in common word processing programs. Dragon provides exceptional accuracy in recognizing your words and now features text-to-talk and text-to-speech editing capabilities that let you proof your work without having to look at the screen. This flexible software works with many of your everyday Web and Windows applications, such as Microsoft Word, OpenOffice Writer, Corel WordPerfect, Microsoft Outlook and Windows LiveMail. Use a Web-based e-mail provider? Not a problem — Dragon allows you to use speech to write and send e-mails through Gmail and Hotmail. The smart format rules feature allows you to customize the software for your use. Teach it to recognize your commonly used abbreviations, acronyms, phrases, proper names and more. For increased ease-of-use, the included wired headset helps you comfortably dictate, and Bluetooth technology helps ensure accuracy. You can even use your Apple® iPhone, iPod®; Touch (4th gen), iPad or your compatible Android device as a remote microphone for quick dictation on the go. Now wherever you go, you can accomplish all of your typing without ever having to touch a keyboard.

Solidly a good product

This is a very useful tool as you can dictate from in a series of sources. It does offer comprehensive tools, though I question whether many would use/have knowledge of all. For those of us who had the pleasure of teaching dictation to an assistant, this software is a great and effective tool, BUT does require the owner to commit sufficient time for training the software.
What's great about it: Responsive and accurate, AFTER sufficient training. Easy to use.
What's not so great: Requires appropriate training and RAM.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hoover Performance Excellent/Best Buy Superior

After 3.5 years the height adjuster on the vacuum cleaner began slipping... annoying but not devastating. After a few weeks I took it in to Best Buy with my copy of the 4 year extended warranty. They looked at the VC told me to go pick out a new one and come back. They did not have the exact model (still a best buy from Consumer Reports) and promptly ordered the desired model. Picked it up 3 days later and all I paid for was the new 4 year service contract. GREAT JOB from both Best Buy staff and Hoover.
What's great about it: Autumn and the team @ Signal Hill Best Buy

Very nice system... BUT beware

Overall very happy with system, however the connectors on two of the speakers (out of 6) continue to disconnect and lose pairing. VERY ANNOYING, returning these two to BB for other style. Otherwise, it works as expected... BUT NO ISymphony support or meaningful manuals. IF weak on technology, probably could be a very frustrating purchase. Would recommend system to friends if BB corrects speaker issue amicably... NOT confident, will know more by the end of the day.
What's great about it: Sound, ease of use, mobility. Remotes work well.
What's not so great: Speakers in two styles, horizontal power connectors AND vertical power connectors. Vertical impossible to work, trash.
I would recommend this to a friend!
