Great sound

Great sound. Very soft ear cups. The sound is very clean . They hurt my years after extended use, but they are more than likely to be comfortable for most people

Band is permanently attached

The band is screwed and glued to watch. The band lasted around two months and started to rip around watch. Fitbit replaced everything. That failed, Replaced again. That failed, ect, ect... Warranty expired, Fitbit will no longer support last watch they sent. $250 for something that lasts for 2 months? No thank you. Search Google for "fitbit surge band ripping".

It will not hold up for more than 5 years
on April 11, 2016

Within first year, plastic pieces separating bins broke. Within second year, algae in waterline (replacement line was over 100 bucks from Whirlpool, and the walls of waterline thicker than what is commonly available so I was unable to cut and connect a new section using hardware store parts), door seals ripped. 5 years after purchase, door hinge disintegrated. Luckily, paid for geek squad service and they are replacing unit because repair cost above their threshold. Replacing with a Samsung or LG...consumer reports disagrees with ratings here, stating Whirlpool on average is more reliable...ratings favor the new kids on the block.

A well constructed high performer with extras!

This is my 3rd laptop from Best Buy. My previous were Sony Vaios, which both had the specs I was looking for, and the only reason for purchasing.
Design:
Out of all the brands on the showroom floor the HP's, more specifically the aluminum variety, are far more solid and less "plastic" then the rest. The overall design is nice, I can take or leave the laser-etching design. The "dim" white and orange lights compliment the black keyboard. The hinge feels solid, but time and use will be the ultimate test. I also really like the battery for 2 reasons; One, the battery is shaped so that when the laptop is on the desk, it has a nice tilt for typing and makes the keys easier to see; Two, the battery has a charge meter (similar to Apple laptops), built into it...which could be useful if using multiple batteries. Lastly, even though it's another Apple rip off, I do like the back lit HP logo on the lid, it's off center and looks like a mirror when the laptop is off.
Guts:
The computer is nice and peppy, although the performance isn't significantly better than my 3 year old Sony (Dual Core Pentium 2.4Ghz), but the computer is still new and I haven't put it through its paces. The Dual video card is a nice option, allowing you to play games at home, but also take the computer out and not kill the
battery...it switches based on your request, or power management to save battery life. Unfortunately, the 3D capabilities are entry level, you'll likely have to set a higher-end modern game to low or medium settings to get decent frame rates. 6GB or ram is a nice "next step" from 4, although 75% of users will never use that much anyway. I love the spacious 640GB hard drive, the model showing on my laptop is a TOSHIBA MK6465GSX. 3 Dedicated USB ports, as advertised, and an additional port that doubles as a eSATA port was also a selling point as most only have 3. HDMI (A modern essential, at least for me). VGA, Ethernet, Headphone, Speakers, SD Card to finish off the ports.
Screen:
The screen is very clear, Max desktop resolution is 1600x900, and LED back lit. I had an ASUS that I took back because BB advertised incorrect specs, and the screen was very "blue-ish", and was hard to adjust to make it look right. The HP's screen is almost a dead match for my older non-LED 22" monitor, which I use in conjunction as a second monitor.
Performance:
Using Windows 7, I ran the performance tests, here are the results:
Scale 1.0-7.9...
Processor: 6.8
Memory (RAM): 6.8
Graphics (Windows): 5.0
Gaming graphics: 6.2
Primary Hard Disk: 5.9
Base Score 5.0 (Determined by lowest sub score)
What's great about it: Design, Features
What's not so great: 3D Graphics

Is there much performance differences between a 5400 and 7400 RPM hard drive.

I asked myself the same question, then researched, and really the difference isn't going to be overly noticeable. You can always buy a larger or faster hard drive, so it would be a shame to miss out on everything else it has to offer.

Would this computer be recommened to run the latest version of Adobe Createtive Suite?

I am going to school for Visual Communications this fall and need a computer that can handle the load of this program and other visual programs without getting bogged down. I am purchasing it with My School money and need to make sure I get something that I can do all my projects without worry about it being slow.
I use the Adobe products personally, and haven't had many issues. For you, if you are using Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Premiere, ect, I would tell you to get the fastest with the most RAM. You can always buy an external monitor to hook up to it, and get a smaller-scree but faster processor. Also, I would plan to buy additional ram if you like to have all of your apps opened all the time and will be switching back and forth.

Is it heating fast?and do you know any notebook cooler that u can offer for this model?

as you know older hp models' fans are behind the laptop and an amd processor cause heating faster. These new models have the same problem?
I have really taxed this notebook, and I haven't seen any heating problems. It's never a bad idea to get a quality laptop cooler, and never use it in any condition where any of the vents are obstructed.

Does this HP laptop use a standard SATA harddrive or is it proprietary?

My old HP Pavilion dv9000 takes an internal harddrive with proprietary connections. Does this laptop use a standard SATA drive?
This laptop, and most others, use a standard Serial ATA (SATA) drive. Same connections. It also has an external eSATA port for connecting external drives.
