Entertaining & Fun

If you enjoy dry humor and other Coen efforts, you should invest in O Brother, Where Art Thou? The PQ is fantastic with brightened details and beautiful cinematography. I was also pleased with the AQ because of how important the music was to the film. It features a DTS Lossless 5.1 track that won't disappoint.
Everyone generally mentions Fargo, Raising Arizona or Burn After Reading when referencing a Coen film. Unfortunately, O Brother, Where Art Thou? was and is a forgotten gem. From Pete the Toad to a bizarre obsession with hair, this Coen picture is a fun watch and one that should definitely be remembered.

Lars von Trier's best film to date. It's not for everyone though. The anticipation is disturbing as well as the graphic nature of certain scenes. However, I found those scenes to be necessary and the film as a whole well done. As far as recommendations go, I would strongly suggest those interested in seeing it for the first time to rent it before making the purchase. This of course goes back to my "It's not for everyone" comment.
In terms of picture and audio quality, Criterion has provided us a fantastic release worthy of ownership.

The transfer was supervised by director Richard Linklater and cinematographer Lee Daniel for this outstanding Criterion release. The picture quality displays depth and excellent detail and partners with firm audio making for a nice experience. Dazed And Confused is fun and considered one of the better growing pain-based films in all of cinema. I definitely agree with this and I would go as far as saying it's better than Fast Times At Ridgemont High and The Breakfast Club. It truly embodies the 1970s and presents a hilarious perspective. Note: Ben Affleck, Parker Posey and Matthew McConaughey were featured in Dazed And Confused.
