Best/Cheapest HDMI big screen monitor

I got this for $119 (one day sale), and boy was it worth it. Nothing in that price range comes remotely close. This is a BIG screen for a desk. I'm using this connected to my HDMI out on my laptop (win8), provides tons of real estate for that. I also use this for my Xbox360 to play Call of Duty etc, and that's where it really shines. It has an extremely fast refresh rate and xbox games look awesome.
Yes the stand is a little flimsy, and this monitor doesn't have speakers, but I think the dual HDMI ports and 1080p resolution far outweigh those aspects.

This thing was so easy to set up. I have it controlling a stereo, cable box, tv, NetGear Neo, blu ray player... It's awesome. There's simple buttons for selecting the action, for instance when I hit "watch movie", my TV turns to the blu ray input, the blu ray player turns on, and the stereo turns to the blu ray input. This is a great thing for non tech savvy folks as it makes things easy!

Great Product if You're bought into the Ecosystem

The Apple TV is a great product if you've got other Apple products, or as a standalone media player. You have access to your iTunes library (if on the same network), airplay mirroring is another great feature. For the price this is a hard device to beat.

I've been listening to The Ghost Inside for quite some time, while I have always enjoyed them, they haven't had a CD that I enjoyed every track. That all changed with this CD. It's fantastic start to end, great lyrics, heavy music, chants, I can't say enough good.

This band is easily one of my favorites. Their lyrics are entirely Christ driven and the band isn't shy about it. I actually enjoy that as they're unashamed of who they are.
Musically this is the best release to date, it's heavy, melodic and enjoyable.

This is the best release from Miss May I. So many of these songs are totally brutal. This is great music to blast in the car on a hot summer day.

This CD is fantastic. I really was disappointed by TWA's second release, but this one by far makes up for it.
The guitar work has improved, the vocals are beastly, and the songs are heavy. There's nothing not to love about this album.

I usually am not one to write negative reviews, but I own two of these and had the same thing happen with both, so I'm not too thrilled.
The price per GB is a great deal, I won't argue that fact at all. What is alarming is the durability.
Both my Galaxy S3 and my wife's suddenly stopped seeing these MicroSD cards, within 2 weeks of each other. I lost all of the music/pictures I had on there. The cards no longer work in the computer or anything. I would stay away and spend more for something more reliable.

Stereo bang for the buck

I have been wanting to get rid of my surround sound receiver for quite some time. I am only using two high end bookshelf speakers and a subwoofer, and the surround receiver just didn't put enough power to them.
This receiver solved my problem. It puts out a LOT of clean power to my stereo set up. I had it cranked for music (sounds beautiful) and for TV (Stanley Cup Finals), everything sounded great.
This is a budget receiver but the quality far surpasses the cost.
What's great about it: 3.5mm input, plenty of inputs, A+B speakers
What's not so great: nothing so far

Can I connect Sony - 5-Disc CD Changer/Recorder Model: CDPCE500 to this receiver and play from both a CD or a flash memory from that device?
Im looking for an option to change from an old shelf system to a receiver, thank you in advance. I consulted this question at local store but couldnt tell me different than the specs in the website, and this feature is not mentioned in the CDPCE500 specs.
If you use the CD player you mentioned you want to connect the analog (L+R red/white RCA plugs) from the CD player to the "CD" red/white RCA inputs on the receiver.
You should have no problem playing CD's or using the USB on the CD player SKU you provided.

im looking for a receiver that would power the speakers with no problems i have two speakers there both 200w max
Yes you can. The speaker rating is a max number. You won't be running this receiver at this much power for normal listening. Even very loud will still be 25-50W RMS.

Need some help with the possibilities for this receiver to be put together with a speaker system and other devices.
Does the watt capacity in this device restrict the possibilities in any way?
Can this receiver be combined with both SS-B1000 and SS-CR3000 Speakers at the same time? or would it be better to combine the SS-B1000 with a subwoofer SA-W2500 or HTCT60 at the same time?
I intend to make the combination also with the cd changer CDPCE500 and later with the turntable PS-LX300USB connected to the cd changer itself.
Can that be done and have an adecuate functioning of the whole equipment?

You can only connect a total of 4 speakers (2 A-side + 2 B-side) to this receiver for a dual-stereo config.
You are honestly best off using the subwoofer + 2x bookshelf speakers for a 2.1 channel set up. Run the speaker wires from the receiver into the "high level" inputs of the subwoofer, then run the "high level" outputs to your speakers. Tune the crossover and gain of the subwoofer to your liking.

Is there a difference between this receiver and the Sony - A/V Receiver - 270 W RMS - 2 Channel - Black?
Both receivers show the same model on the best buy web site but different watt capacity, so is the STRDH130 a 200 W or a 270 W receiver?
It's 200W RMS. I think the 270W RMS is in reference to an older model.
