Disappointed Long Time Shure Customer

How Often Used:Daily
I have had the Shure for 8 years or so. Became a fan since my E2C then the SE 115, followed by SE 210s.
I finally wore out the SE 210s. Saw these SE 215 and was surprised at the low price. Ordered this pair and man was disappointed since I saw the box.
Cons:
1) Cheap Cord. No Longer have a the detachable extension. Its one long cord.
2) Hudge jack. Making it almost useless if you have a case on your iPhone. this thing is so darn fat and I don't understand why.
3# Old series had a cord problem that after long use cord would crack and since they had a 2 year warranty they end up replacing alot of them just because of the cords. THE FIX: Detachable cord. It is a great idea but then why include such a cheap cord. Why not offer the same old style with detachable extension and comfortable fit.
4# THE Thickening in the cord for the part that loops around the ear. It is rigid. You try to put this in your ear and wrap the cord behind your eat and it’s a two man operation requiring a mirror. The cord is thick, doesn’t flex easily and you keep pushing and wrapping it around your ear and it just springs back a little. So you have this ANNOYING CONSTANT LITTLE FEELING of something pocking out behind your ear the whole time.
5) Sound is really bad. Music sounds like loud spoken words. Where did the rest of it go??? I guess if you like spoken words or audiobooks this would be perfect. Range is really poor.
Pros:
Compared to what I was used to getting from my SHURE Earphones before; NOTHING.
I am going to give it 2 or 3 more days. See maybe if I get used to it. BUT most likely will return them and stop buying SHURE. Very sad about this. =#
What's great about it: Not Much Compared to What I was used to with my SE 210s
What's not so great: The Shap makes the git awckward, ridgit cord around the ear doesnt conform to ear shape and springs back, sound is poor
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Quality Build and Fit
on June 14, 2012
Posted by: DisapointedFan
Cons:
1) Case Material is cheap.
2) It streches out and the fitting is not really good for iPad2/3
3) When putting in headphones, or pressing volume or power button is slides down in the case making it hard to reach the buttons.
4) The small velcro strap that holds iPad in place it thick and slides under the iPad to fastten so it creats an ugly buldge on once side of the case.
5) The velcro strap loosens too quick and have to constantly adjust it.
6) Now I hav to pull it so far back for it to hold the iPad tightly that the velcro strap slides to far back for it too close. If its not pulled all the way back the iPad slides up and down and side to side in the case.
For this price and from incase who made excellent cases for my iPhones and Mac Book pro I expected much much much more.
Pros: I havent found any case that is much better than this. It is sad how limited the choices of style are for the iPad2/3 and the ones that are there are just overpriced, poorly made, carbon copies.
Only case I was happy with was the PowerSupport Air Jacket. Fits like a glove, but it doesnt provide the support I want. I like that for around the house not when I need to take it out with me.
What's great about it: Not Much
What's not so great: Streches Quick. Loose. iPad shifts in it,
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
