You don't have to be a Springsteen fan to appreciate this disc. Aside from its brilliant lyrics, music and production, its one of Rock's most important albums. Any musical historian will tell you that this "album" almost single handedly pulled us out of the musical abysis known as Disco. If you can't appreciate the layered vocals, amazing guitar, sax solos and lyrics, remember this album paved the way for any and all rock acts that were to follow from the Hair Bands through current rock. You can't go wrong with this disc from the opening harmonica of Thunder Road through the midway point of Born to Run to the touching ending of Jungleland. Musically, lyrically and historically one of the most important albums of the late 20th century. The extras are also great such as a young Bruce on DVD playing in London, the incredibly inciteful liner notes as well as the exclusive Best Buy "freebie" disc". Stop reading this and buy it. I bought over half dozen copies and gave them out for Christmas. No complaints.
What's great about it: Cutting edge rock that saved Rock 'n Roll
Great extras from a copy of Richard Lester's script, to a replica movie poster, Lobby cards and other goodies, that make it worth it for the hard core Beatles enthuiast, who doesn't have the money to buy the originals, which would cost thousands of dollars all together if they can be found at all. Storyline is entertaining and campy. The question is should one pay $30 for the DVD or take the plunge and pay $169.99 for the whole delux set. Lets put it this way if this is a gift for your wife/husband, girlfriend/boyfriend or an intended one you may find out that "money can buy you love".
What's great about it: Great extras, funny story, kinda campy
