What is it that makes Hollywood want to "reboot" everything now a days? This treatment can have one of two outcomes, either 1) an excellent relaunch of a classic series (i.e. the new Star Trek) or 2) a film that seems to be loosely grasping at a classic or well told original idea and failing to match it.
The Howling Reborn is unfortunately in the second category, it fails to match the suspense and thrill of the original and only loosely bases itself in the original Howling "universe", IF I had never seen the original Howling series of movies I may have been less critical of this movie. I would say not worth it.
What's not so great: Horrible movie, bad acting, very little to do with the original series.
