This album exceeded my expectations. I was shocked just how catchy the songs really were. This album is truly remarkable there are no filler material on here. The booklet inside is very nicely done and the artwork is amazing. There are 13 amazing songs that I can't stop listening to. I have listened to the album over 30 times already. Be sure to pick this one up. Liam Gallagher keep up the good work already looking forward to a second album.
What's great about it: songs as well as album artwork
What's not so great: nothing. it turned out to be a good record

The smashing pumpkins are back and they are ready to rock on this one. This album is great in the fact that it really showcases Jimmy Chamberlin's many talents on the drum kit as the drumming as amazing. This is a nice solid release from a band that keeps on giving music to their listeners. I'm glad they decided to reunite and make this amazing album. Pick this one up.

why the negative reviews from critics?
on January 26, 2011

I don't understand why this album gets negative reviews from critics. I happen to like this album a lot. This album, once again, is a masterpiece. The original version only had 12 songs on it while this one has 15. It has the bonus tracks stellar,ma belle, and death from above. All of which are amazing and enduring songs. This deluxe edition of zeitgeist is a masterpiece with 15 diverse songs that once again are catchy and amazing. It also comes with a bonus DVD as well which includes a 20 minute documentary that goes behind the scenes in how they made Zeitgeist. Pick this album up and don't listen to the critics negative reviews and see for yourself.
What's great about it: the 3 bonus tracks and bonus dvd

This album may not get the best reviews by music critics, but as far as I'm concerned this album is filled with raw and powerful emotions that descend the listener into a new world. I know that this album is way different from their first three albums and that it veered into new territory, but I also know that this album is still lyrically amazing. The music and instrumentation is just different, but you should still pick this up.
What's great about it: its different, but amazing lyrically.

28 amazing songs!

This double disc was hugely anticipated. This album covers an array of tones, sounds, and instruments. Billy Corgan did a nice job with the songs as well as the cover art. There are a lot of songs that made it on the radio. I am very impressed with the way this disc turned out, and you should too. The songs are played with raw emotion and they once again captivate the listeners experience with an expansive feel. This album will leave you satisfied.
What's great about it: an amazing and ambitious double disc
What's not so great: nothing.

a collection of amazing music.

I am a little skeptical about greatest hits albums, but I was highly impressed with the way this one turned out. It takes songs from each of their albums and puts it on one disc along with "eye", drown", and "the new "untitled" as well as a song from machina 2 which was not released on a physical copy. There are a lot of songs, (18), for which we are reminded just how much the pumpkins did and the different ways the went through the years. Pick this album up.
What's great about it: 18 beautiful songs.

Sonic-ally the best album of the 90's.

This album is a pure masterpiece . It starts off strong with the towering "cherub rock", and then it goes right into " quiet" which is a beautiful song with nice basslines. Next, we get to hear today which is a fan and radio favorite. This album is expansive in the fact that it goes from heavy stuff like geek usa to slow songs like sweet sweet. This songs are long as well and the entire album is over an hour. These 13 songs take your mind through soaring emotions. Mayonaise is pure genius in the fact that it really captivates and moves you. pick this album up.
What's great about it: loud bass, electrifying guitars, hard hitting drums
What's not so great: can't think of anything.

This is a solid release. The only downside is that it ages to release this album. There are many catchy songs such as federal funding, sick of you, and mustache man. This album is a must buy for cake fans of the past.
What's great about it: catchy songs
What's not so great: took too long to release

This reissue album is fantastic. The music is crisp and clear. The instruments are amplified and the bonus track is amazing as well as the cover art and packaging. For a price of 9.99 its hard to say no. This album is sonic-ally amazing. Buy it.
What's great about it: the amplified sound, and bonus track.
What's not so great: could have been demos or more bonus tracks.

This is some amazing stuff

This album is highly underrated in a major way. This is an album that is long forgotten solely because it is their debut album, and the band hasn't garnered much attention until Siamese Dream came around. This album shows the early mindset of a young band making it big. We are left with a nice arrangement of highly alluring songs that really captivate and leave the listener wanting more. The guitar and drumming are superb. This is a sonically diverse album as it goes from rocking tunes to more slow melodies. Daydream is a wonderful tune in which we get to hear James Iha on the vocals for a nice soothing ending. This album shows just how remarkable this band was early on, and the music and drums are just sheer beauty. The guitar and drums are very diverse in the fact that they stray from conventional rock, and you could also hear the pulsating bass lines keep a nice melody. Pick this album up now.
What's great about it: Way Underrated Debut
What's not so great: nothing, its amazing
