Most thrash metal albums don't even past 30 minutes, this album goes over 50 minutes. This is recognized to be one of Anthrax's best albums. If Caught In A Mosh doesn't get you moving, nothing will. Jason Becker probaly stomp moshes to this (sorry if I offended anyone with that one). I actually worked up a sweat from listening to this record. The musicianship in Anthrax is great. Scott and Dan are great guitar players, Frank is a amazing bass player, this becomes apperant of Caught In A Mosh. Charlie is such a fast drummer, he never ceases to amaze me. And most thrash vocalists just scream, Joey actually sings like he is in a chorus. The backup vocals are there to make you sing along with it. Please buy this record. \m/
What's great about it: A long Thrash album that makes you wanna break stuff.
What's not so great: Your actually asking me if somthing is wrong with this album???
Alien is a masterpiece. Maybe your just getting into SYL, start with City, then go to this record. This is a album that gets straight to the point and draws you in and then lets you rest by Two Weeks. After that, it goes into Thalamus which has a slow start, then it gets really heavy without being too fast. Lets talk about the begining. Imperial just rips your head off and sets a standard for the amount of keyboards and extra chorus vocals that will be in the rest of the record. After that, it goes into Skeksis. Skeksis is definietly the highlight of the record. S#itstorm is just powerful, fast, and mindblowing. I'm not even going to explain the rest of the record except for one word, Perfect. Please, go buy this record. Don't thank me, thank Devin Townsend and the rest of the SYL crew.
What's great about it: Another fine SYL album.
What's not so great: It sets a very high standard for other metal albums.
