Another great album by William Murphy. Praise God

I had been sleep on William Murphy for a while. I didn't realize he was the lead vocalist for Shekinah Glory's "Praise Is What I Do" and several other tracks that I like on that album. I really like William Murphy's albums All Day and The Sound. God Chaser is another great addition of him prasing/worshipping God and encouraging others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Really great music and message. Praise God for that! Matthew 7:12

So apparently I've been sleep on William Murphy for a while. I didn't realize he was the lead singer on Shekinah Glory's "Praise Is What I Do" and several other tracks from that album that I really liked. The Sound is great listening, ministry, and worship from beginning to end. I'm not a big fan of the opening track, but it's smooth sailing and good listening the rest of the way. Wlliam Murphy worships God throughout and ministers encouraging words of the Gospel throughout the album too. Gospel music should reflect the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and bring God glory. William Murphy does so on The Sound. This is not one of those "Gospel" albums with people just complaining about being broke, sad, depressed, etc. This is actually "Gospel" and praise/worship. Praise God for that. Very refreshing. My two favorite songs on the album are "I Will Rejoice" and "Empty Me." I purchased William Murphy's other two albums "All Day" and "God Chaser," and they're great albums too for the same reasons as what makes The Sound great. To God be the glory! Matthew 7:12

Nine Lashes' first album World We View is a standout album. I was excited to see them come out with a second album. Their second album From Water to War is a good album in and of itself, but to me it's nowhere near as good as World We View. From Water to War is faily mellow throughout with some occasional heavier guitars and some occasional yelling to stress their points-NOT screamo, just yelling. The lead singer's voice fits the album really well as he has good, unique vocals. I agree with a previous reviewer who compared this NL album to being similar to Seventh Day Slumber's style. I would also make a comparison to some of Kutless' more recent albums. Not al all a bad album. A good album but nothing spectacular. They do bring God glory throughout with the various messages on each track, and this is always a plus when listening to Christian music. I know that sounds weird, but there are some artists labeled as "Christian" whose albums I've listened to where I end up wondering what makes this "Christian" album Christ like in regards to it's message? This is not at all the case with From Water to War in that it clearly has Godly themes in each song. God bless. Matthew 7:12

I came across BTF as a recommendation after purchasing another album from another artist. I only listen to Christian artists whose content glorifies God. I did some research on BTF and various articles expressed that the members are Christians and at one point identified as a "Christian" band. I'm not going to get into that debate about what all that means, but I will say that lyrically I was very surpised to hear curse words (some edited out and some not) on their Hollow Bodies album. It's not my place to say whether BTF is saved or not. I can say that I never would have purchased any of their albums had I known they were displaying fruit that isn't Godly. Sad part about this is that their albums actually sound really good, but they're ruined by their unGodly content. I went on to do some more reserach online and found a video/movie they did for one of the songs from their Witness album. Same results in regards to a lot of content that is clearly not glorifying God and not representing Jesus Christ. I ended up throwing away this cd and the other two BTF albums I purchased (Hollow Bodies, Awakening). I'm writing this review to other Christians who care about the content of the music they listen to. Hopefully this will prevent someone else from making the same mistake I made. I'm praying for BTF. Great sound-HORRIBLE CONTENT
