The usual fare for this series
on June 18, 2013

If you've been watching the previous seasons of Batman: The Brave and the Bold, you will see that this season is mostly the usual fare: Batman often teams up with some hero to fight one or more villains from the DC Universe. Usually either the hero, or the villain, or both, is/are a new one, who we are introduced to, but after 2 seasons already there is a lot of team-ups with the same groups of already established heroes. And, we also see the same group of villains from time to time.
Two special things to watch for in this season:
1. Joker: The Vile and the Villainous! -- Joker takes over the show, and we get an adventure from Joker's point of view.
2. Four Star Spectacular! -- This is the farewell episode because the series is canceled. There is a serious breakage of the 4th wall as a way to say good bye from all of the cast.
What's great about it: The Joker episode: The Vile and the Villainous, The Farewell episode: Four Star Spectacular!
What's not so great: Overuse of the same heroes and villains from previous seasons instead of new characters.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Young Justice Invasion Part 1
on April 30, 2013

This Young Justice DVD has the first 10 episodes of Season 2. (There are 20 episodes in total for season 2). In this half of the season you are introduced to elements of the three main plot lines that are going to be running throughout this season:
1. The Young Justice team and its new members who try to find out who is responsible and stop the alien invasion.
2. The Light featuring Black Manta, Kaldur'ahm, and Tigress in their underwater adventure.
3. A group of runaway kids who get caught in the middle of the alien invasion.
The graphics are good, nicely done, and hand-drawn, but once or twice I've seen that both eyes don't always focus in the same direction so its a little annoying (Sorry in advance if I make you notice the eye thing now that I've said this).
The voice acting is good. Though there is a limit on how many voice actors are actually used during an episode so sometimes characters appear in the background who are silent.
The DVD extras are three full episodes from Batman: The Brave and the Bold. All featuring Blue Beetle, who DC comics is trying to promote.
1. "The Rise of the Blue Beetle!"
2. "Fall of the Blue Beetle!"
3. "Revenge of the Reach!"
What's great about it: Good plot, DVD extras
What's not so great: Only half the season, sometimes the eyes don't focus on the same point
I would recommend this to a friend!
