Better the Second Time!

"The Dark Knight" was better for me the second time watching it. When I had saw it the first time in theaters I didn't think much of it other than that Heath Ledger carried the movie. Watching it the second time, I gained more of an appreciation for the movie. "The Dark Knight" is a very awesome movie with a great story and tons of action. Director Christopher Nolan has made another success with this movie. The acting in this movie was superb, Christian Bale always does a fantastic job and Heath Ledger was outstanding. Overall, everything in this movie was great and I highly recommend it to anyone. Especially to someone who has not seen "The Dark Knight" already.

Great Movie!

This remake of "Pride & Prejudice" is a great movie. Before I didn't really give this movie much of a chance because in high school we were reading the book by Jane Austen and I found it boring. The only reason that I found it boring is because I didn't want to really pay attention at all to the book or movie for it being related to school.
But I actually sat down and saw "Pride & Prejudice" on television and I have to say that I enjoyed the movie. The film has a great story and the cast was brilliant. It was also a plus for me that Keira Knightley was playing one of the roles. Director, Joe Wright does a fantastic job with this movie and I love the camera work/cinematography. Overall, I highly recommend this film to anyone.
p.s. please release this in Blu-Ray! =)

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!!

I wanted to see this film so bad back in 2007 but they kind of had it on limited release in theaters where I live. But I finally got to see "Atonement" when I picked it up on DVD in 2008 and I wasn't disappointed by it at all. For the time period that I didn't get to see "Atonement" until I got to pick up a copy, the film was probably being hyped up in my head as being one of the greatest films in 2007. So, going into watching it I probably had high expectations and let me say that this movie didn't disappoint me even then.
Anyways, getting back to the movie itself, "Atonement" was a really good film and it has an amazing story based of the book by Ian McEwan. The camera work/cinematography was astounding and Director, Joe Wright ("Pride & Prejudice (2005)) did a great job with this film. The acting in the movie was brilliant and Keira Knightley and James McAvoy are perfect for each other. Overall, "Atonement" was a great great film and I highly recommend it to anyone.
p.s. I really hope that it comes out on Blu-ray soon. =) ...along with "Pride & Prejudice (2005)."

Steven Spielberg's A.I. comes to DVD with this two-disc set. The disc offers a standard full-frame transfer. English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital 5.1 as well. Spanish and French subtitles are accessible, and all three English soundtracks are closed captioned. Supplemental materials include a making-of featurette concerning the film's genesis with Stanley Kubrick, interviews with the cast and crew, storyboards, trailers, and tons of footage on the creation of the special effects. This is a fine package, but it suffers in comparison to the widescreen edition of these discs that is also available.

A.I. a Classic!!!

"A.I" is such a great movie made by Spielberg. This film has such a great story that is entrancing which will keep you glued to your seat. The acting and chemistry between Haley Joel Osment and Jude Law was fantastic. The futuristic setting of "A.I." was amazing and all the characters within this world was phenomenal. This is actually one of my most favorite films by Spielberg. There's not much else I can say about this movie, other than, that "A.I" is a really really good movie and I highly recommend it as a must-see.
p.s. I hope it comes out on Blu-ray! =)

Though the six-month wait for Fight Club's DVD release nearly drove many of the film's fans crazy, 20th Century Fox gets it right the first time. Instead of releasing a bare-bones disc first and a beefier version months later, this feature-filled, double-disc package transforms David Fincher's caustic, pitch-black satire from one of 1999's most controversial films into one of 2000's best DVDs. A pristine 2.40:1 anamorphic, widescreen transfer and Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound get the first disc off to a great start, preserving all of the visual and sonic details that make the film rewarding on repeat viewings. Four entertaining and informative commentaries -- one by Fincher, Brad Pitt, Helena Bonham Carter, and Edward Norton; a separate commentary by Fincher; another by Fight Club novelist Chuck Palahniuk and screenwriter Jim Uhls; and one by visual effects supervisor Kevin Haug, costume designer Michael Kaplan, production designer Alex McDowell and cinematographer Jeff Cronenweth -- are an audio crash course in directing, acting, and special effects techniques. Though the features on the first disc might be more than enough for many viewers, the second disc rewards diehard Fight Club fans with a bonanza of bonuses that would be overwhelming if they weren't neatly organized into five categories. "Work" digs even deeper into the film's technical achievements and provides in-depth explanations of some of the film's most impressive and involved effects, such as the opening credits' ride through the narrator (Edward Norton)'s brain, the dream-like plane crash and sex sequences, and the photogrammetry technique used in other key scenes. "Missing" presents seven cut scenes and alternate takes, including Marla's (Helena Bonham Carter) infamous "I want to have your abortion" scene and other, more subtly different sequences that lend insight into the choices made while constructing the film. "Art" features galleries of the storyboards, pre-production paintings, costumes, and makeup (an especially impressive and funny section -- the "before" and "after" makeup designs look like reconstructive surgery in reverse). And if the disc's other features are primers on filmmaking, then "Advertising" is a run-through of basic marketing concepts. The promotional galleries include publicity stills and artwork, Internet-only commercials, the theatrical teaser and trailer, and a whopping 17 U.S. and international TV ads, some of which seem to be for slightly different, yet related films (in an attempt to appeal to viewers put off by the film's violence, the "Girl's Club" commercials make Fight Club look like an offbeat romantic comedy). A transcript of Edward Norton's appearance at Yale University's Film Society also addresses his and Fincher's concern about how the film's violence should or could be interpreted. Finally, "Crew" profiles the cast and crew and includes biographical blurbs on everyone from Fincher to the Dust Brothers, whose own commentary and score track unfortunately had to be jettisoned due to lack of room. Indeed, the set uses every available milimeter of space on the discs and the packaging to enhance the viewer's experience. The beautifully designed fold-out case includes the booklet "How To Start A Fight," which features quotes from Palahniuk, Uhls, the production team, and Fox 2000 executives about the process of turning the cutting-edge, underground novel into a big-budget, big-studio picture. In a clever move, the booklet also mixes in excerpts of positive and negative reviews from writers ranging from Roger Ebert and Kenneth Turan to anonymous cyber-critics, highlighting Fight Club's polarizing effect. But even the film's harshest critics would have to concede that the the time, care and details put into the DVD set the standard for the format. Fight Club fans, meanwhile, will find weeks' worth of lovingly obsessive features and information to pore over. Though it was originally planned to be a very simple relase, thankfully this densely packed set gives one of Fox's most interesting films of the '90s the treatment it deserves.

"Fight Club," what can I say about this movie? This is an awesome film that is a classic. I really enjoyed the style of this movie as being a kind of dark drama. Brad Pitt and Edward Norton do an amazing job in "Fight Club." Otherwise, I can't really say much more about "Fight Club" because everything else about it is great and that's all you need to know. I highly recommend that you pick a copy up, it's a must-see!!!
p.s. I hope they release this on Blu-ray! =)

A Beautiful Masterpiece

"The Edge of Love" was an amazing amazing movie. At first, in the very beginning of the film, It felt as if things were moving too fast or that I just started watching a movie that was already 30 minutes in. But after the beginning of "The Edge of Love" everything started to work well and all the pieces began to come together into what became a brilliant and riveting story. I probably need to watch it a second time to make sense of the beginning and now I'm guessing that it was like that to set up the rest of the story for the next 1 hour 30 minutes. In the end, the story was superb and I enjoyed every minute of it.
The acting in this movie was great. Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller did an awesome job and was well supported by Cillian Murphy and Matthew Rhys. There are a lot of interesting visual effects in this movie and poetic narrations from Matthew Rhys' character Dylan Thomas which makes "The Edge of Love" all the more great.
Overall, I highly recommend this movie as a must-see. p.s. It looks flawless on Blu-ray.

"Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" is a great prequel to the first two "Underworld" movies. It was really remarkable to see how this story ties well into the previous two. All of the films in this series has to be one of the best movies about vampires and werewolves/lycans. "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" also has great action and everything else like the background, cinematography, and effects looks great. Overall, this movie is amazing and entertaining. I highly recommend that you pick a copy up.

Valkyrie! Great Movie!

"Valkyrie" is a dang good movie. Even though you knew the ending of the story already before seeing it because it was a part of history, this movie doesn't fail to disappoint. So, I believe that the story was well executed and it was very interesting to see something told from within the enemies perspective. Also, I think that in "Valkyrie" they chose to speak english so that the film can appease to the american audience because it is a american film and they make a cool transition in the very beginning of the film from German to English which you will have to see on your own. The acting was brilliant, Tom Cruise did an excellent job and he was well supported by his fellow cast members. Overall, "Valkyrie" is an awesome movie that will keep you guessing and glued to your seat. I highly recommend this movie to anyone. So pick it up!

One of the Best Vampire/Werewolves Movie!!!

"Underworld: Evolution" is such an amazing film. I believe that the whole "Underworld" franchise are one of the best films following the theme/genre of vampires and werewolves. In this movie the acting is good, the story is great, and the cinematography is amazing. Kate Beckinsale and Scott Speedman do a great job and they are well supported by their fellow cast.
This movie also look amazing on Blu-ray. Overall, I highly recommend "Underworld: Evolution" to anyone who hasn't seen it yet. It's a must-see.

Band of Brothers is Astounding!!
on July 11, 2009

"Band of Brothers" is a completely amazing HBO miniseries produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. This miniseries has the same grittiness and action as "Saving Private Ryan" which makes it great. I enjoy how in "Saving Private Ryan" the airborne is mentioned and in "Band of Brothers" it's all about the U.S. Army 101st Airborne during the war. The idea of being able to understand another side of the story is both amazing and interesting. This miniseries is very entertaining and just dang good because there's both awesome action and great stories to tell. On Blu-ray "Band of Brothers" looks absolutely amazing and I generally highly recommend this HBO miniseries on either DVD or Blu-ray because you'll enjoy in which ever one you see it in.

t.v.size

what size flat panel would be good for a bed room that your watching view isonly 10 ft.
I'm assuming that the distance between you and the t.v. would be about 10 ft. I'd recommend a television between the range of a 26'', 32'', and maybe even a 37''. But i'd believe the best size may be a 32'' because I have one in my bedroom and the distance between from where I sit and where the television is about 10ft.
