Having the right tool for the job can make life easier, simpler and more comfortable. And while the Dyson AM10 is a slick-looking piece of kit, it lacks the oomph to keep anything but a very small room at acceptable humidity levels. We have tried various settings (the Auto function is essentially worthless as it only wants to get the room to 40% humidity, which in a Chicago winter means the area immediately around the humidifier is near 40%, but a few feet away it's at <30%#. So we resort to setting the humidity level as high as it will go #70%#, and playing with the fan's speed to spread that moisture around. Except that the amount of moisture it puts out is very small, and the fan cools the room as it spreads humidity.
Verdict? This humidifier is made more for a small room's summer AC-dried air where the overall feel of the room can benefit from a fan blowing cooler, humidified air. In a winter setting where the you need serious humidifying capacity and warmer air, this is just simply not the right tool for the job. We'll have to wait for the heater/humidifier #instead of just a fan/humidifier) before those of us in colder climates can use the AM10.

The Up24 measures daytime activity and sleep and provides quality metrics of these activities, is able to provide the wearer with comparisons to the Up community as a whole, and is backed by a great customer service organization.

What's great about it: Provides quality metrics for sleep and activities
What's not so great: Doesn't seem to last more than a year, but Jawbone has a hassle free replacement policy!

Breathe easy with this 3-gallon humidifier that cleanses the air in your home of dust and pollen while doing away with dry, itchy skin.

If you need a humidifier that puts out a lot of moisture and has a large capacity, this Honeywell might be worth a try. We have gone through several humidifiers before finding this unit, and are sold on this model!
Compared to the four others we've owned, this unit puts out much more moisture than the others, is quieter, doesn't make a mess either through leaks or spreading white dust everywhere (it sits on a dark wood floor in our condo), and has worked reliably for over a year.
