Outstanding camera with tremendous versatility...

The Canon PowerShot 720 HS has continued to amaze me in its ease of use, versatility, fantastic image quality and outstanding features. What I appreciate the most is how easy this camera is to learn and use. For most people it is straight forward and with a little extra time spent reviewing how to use the more complex features it will quickly become a go to vacation, friends tag along and family time camera. I continue to be amazed at how compact this camera is when the over lens length is taken into account.
The zoom in and out is quick and having this be a true optical rather than a digital zoom allows for beautiful high resolution images. The built in image stabilization is a very nice feature. There are some very cool features I have yet to explore and look forward to seeing the power of this compact camera. The red is awesome.

64 GB is likely far more than I will ever need but seeing as at the time this item was on sale at a great price I figured I would rather have more space than end up not having enough. With today's digital cameras having greater pixel density and that ability to create movies and high resolution photos it is possible that as I learn more about my camera I will end up being very happy I made this purchase.

What I like about this camera case is that it provides fantastic protection for my Canon PowerShot SX720. The interior does not have a great deal of space but that was likely the designers intent. The soft interior cushion and hard exterior shell limits the cameras ability to move about inside. My guess is that this case was designed for the smaller powershot size cameras to offer greater security against drops and other hard impacts than the bag like cases while maintaining a compact size for ease of carry.

I have read reviews on other sites concerning this particular unit and was at first apprehensive on buying it. There were a few complaints about the amount of noise it made and the cheap plastic used for venting. However, there are numerous web sites that rated this AC unit as one of the best so I decided to give it a try.
I am actually very pleased with the unit. It does a very good job of cooling the room I purchased it for (about 250 sq. ft) and it does it with no trouble. I went with the 10,000 BTU unit because a lot of sites state that portable AC's are less efficient than window units so it is best to go a size up. With that in mind I am convinced that it could cool a 350 sq. ft. room with ease even on the hottest of days.
As for peoples complaints that it is loud, it is an AC unit, what do you expect? On the positive side I believe that this unit is less noisy than a comparable window AC. With the fan on HIGH and unit cooling the peak decibel output I measured was 70. Looking at a DB scale this is just above the level of a normal human conversation.
The unit is a bit on the large side so if you are cramped for space this may not be the unit you want to purchase.
The controls are easy to use and navigate. I do like that you can set it to dehumidify without cooling, I think that is a big plus. You can also set it for the number of hours until it turns on and the temperature you want it to cool to.
The remote is nothing special, very basic, but it works well so you don't have to get up from what you are doing to turn the unit on/off or adjust temperature levels.
As for the bad side. This is a heavy unit, 68 lbs - over 70 in the box and the box is difficult to move alone.
Also, the plastic used for the exhaust system is %$#@. The piece that plugs into the window kit cracked as I was installing it. The same piece doesn't fit well as other people have stated and if you wish could use a bit of duct tape to shore it up. I also would like to have seen the window kit come with a longer extension.
One of the things you will need is insulation window tape. The window kit will NOT seal out the elements on its own.

Incredible Sound Quality

Listened to this compact speaker at Best Buy and was impressed with its stereo sound quality, clarity, volume and ease of use. Fits easily into any laptop case and ready to use in seconds. I have had this speaker for a few weeks now and I gotta say I love it.
The less expensive Bluetooth speakers simply are not worth purchasing. Sure you save money purchasing a lesser speaker but the quality of sound will not be pleasing and in the end you will wish you had spent the extra money. All too often I have purchased an item based on lesser cost only to later place it in a closet to collect dust, then purchase the higher priced item that I have should have bought in the first place.
The other selling point of this speaker is the rechargeable internal battery. No need to purchase batteries and it comes with a simple USB power cable that with the right adapter plugs into your car power jack.

Outstanding Laptop

Toshiba makes fantastic laptops, this being the second one I have owned. For me, a 14" laptop is the perfect size, plus this one comes with a 1080p 1920x1080 HD Widescreen Display. While this laptop won't play the latest graphic intensive games, which I have no need for, it will play movies with fantastic clarity and show off photos with crisp, vibrant colors. You won't get this kind of display on any other laptop model for the price.
At first I kept going back and forth on whether I wanted the touchscreen or not. I spent some time with a Best Buy display touchscreen and non-touchscreen laptop set side by side and decided on the non-touch. I am totally happy with my choice. You don't need a touchscreen for a laptop. The mouse pad and a USB wireless mouse work very well.
This laptop is very light weight making it a great travel companion. It's interesting how much difference an extra pound and a half of weight feels on a 15.6" laptop.
Look around and compare with other laptops from manufactures such as HP, Dell, Asus, etc. I have looked and the value of this laptop really shines when compared with others. I can not over emphasize the 1080p display. To get to this price point other manufacturers go with a 1366x768 display and you will notice the difference from the moment the Start Screen comes up and you see the grainy fonts.
I don't miss not having a CD player. Most no longer come with one since they are legacy hardware just as with the old floppy disk drives. Plus, if you really want one, the USB CD drives are cheap and you can get the one you really want rather than going with the one that is pre-installed. Plug one into the 3.0 USB Port and it will work just fine.
Make sure you test drive as many laptops as you can to assure yourself of getting the one that best meets your needs. If you should go with this laptop I believe you will not be disappointed.
