This is a really fun, entertaining, engaging science fiction show. It has the episodic feel of the X-Files but those self-contained shows are rarely ever dips in the quality of the overall narrative arc. The show shines when it begins to flesh out the meta-story, but from episode to episode, this is an amazing fun and challenging show.
What's great about it: Great price for a really fun sci-fi show, amazing production quality
What's not so great: A few episodes are duds, but those are few and far between
Party Down is far and away one of the funniest shows on TV right now. The comedy here is dark, depressing, and often absurd, and the writing and acting suit each other perfectly. This is essentially a star-making role for Adam Scott despite the fact that no one watches this show. But you should. Right now.
What's great about it: Clever dialogue, smart scripts, great acting
What's not so great: Wish there were more episodes

Heavy Rain plays like an exercise in form, and the game works.
The controls may seem complex at the start, but the commands are intuitive and serve to deepen the play experience. The visuals and chilling score are beautifully integrated and add a serious layer of tension to the twisting story. There are a few dips in the narrative, a few head-scratchers in terms of suspension of disbelief, and there are a few points where the gameplay could have used a bit more game testing, but the overall experience is well worth taking.
This is the video game equivalent of Se7en.
What's great about it: Fun, engaging detective story, great visuals, intuitive controls
