Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to be a fan of wrestling to enjoy this movie, though, I am. Mickey Rourke is SPECTACULAR as Randy "The Ram", a pro-wrestler who reached the height of his popularity in the 80s. Now, Rourke's character is doing autograph signings and shows at Rec Centers just to make ends meet. He's a recovering alcoholic and drug user. Not to mention his steroid habits. This movie has single-handedly revived Mickey's career through his grity portrayal and the depth into which he becomes the character. Marissa Tomei is also amazing as a middle-aged stripper whom becomes the object of Rourke's affection. Overall, just an amazing movie from start to finish. Spend the money and pick up a copy.
