Smack between two thrones and sands of time

Long story short - if you like the sands of time and the two thrones then you will love this game. Timed traps, puzzles to solve, locked gates, secret power-ups and more. Gome is the "never die" version of the prince who only seemed to be interested in collecting orbs.
I loved playing it but felt like the ending was a bit ubrupt. I look forward to another prince adventure like this one. Puzzles need to be just a wee bit more challenging though.
What's great about it: just like the classic games, not like the 'never die' version
What's not so great: graphics sometimes look like ps2, ending is rushed

comes w/ exclusive bonus trax

Nothing groundbreaking with this one. Just more of what HoF does best. Matt Pike has one of the heaviest sounds in metal. If Sabbath could actually sound heavier then he achieved it. A power trio that can rattle tiles off ceilings. My only problem would be that no songs have really caught me yet. I'm pretty sure "Frost Hammer" was the first single. This BB exclusive has 3 bonus trax. 1 studio and 2 live from the last album.
What's great about it: Sabbath inspired heaviness
What's not so great: more of the same
I would recommend this to a friend!

Mastodon changes things up a bit this time
on March 23, 2009

Mastodon does it again by leaving the listener in awe of the bands music abilities. This cd is more straightforward the the other releases. The music has a lot more 'airiness' to it which flies in the face of Mastodons early work of hyper tech metal all the way through. A concept album involving astral travel & Rasputin , this cd made me scratch my head at first but I've warmed up to it more after each listen.
The dvd almost made me think of "Some kind of Mastodon" to borrow from metallica. Very personal stuff involving Brann & the death of his sister, Brett and the mebers of SOAD beating him to the point of near death and a coma & things like that. If you are a fan of interesting and ever changing metal riffs I highly suggest checking this one out.
What's great about it: adventerous, cool lyrics, music is spacious and unique
What's not so great: short, not as technical
I would recommend this to a friend!
