Great sound and comfort for all-day use!
on October 24, 2022
Posted by: IronHorseGPS
The Soundcore - by Anker Liberty 4 True Wireless Earbuds offer amazing sound and wearability for all-day comfort and battery life. Anker has risen through the crowded field of brand to establish themselves as a leader in headphone and earbud technology. The Liberty 4 True Wireless Earbuds are no exception and add design and style to their innovation and technology. Offering immersion 360 spacital sound, superior noise-cancelling, and an exclusive heart rate sensor, the Liberty 4 has taken the lead in technology for everyday earbuds.
I found the sound quality to be excellent, the 360 spacitial immersion to be incredible, and the case to be just cool giving one a Sci-fi feel. I really did not see the value in the heart rate monitor as I am usually tied to a desk for work and rarely wear earbuds when exercising. I can see this feature being of value to those who do. The fit was great right out of the unboxing where usually I need to try several bud sizes to find ones that do not hurt over time, but not with the Liberty 4s. I also found the interface between squeezing the sides of the buds to get a response to my iPhone a bit weird at first having to figure out the controls to hang up the phone or increase the volume on my playlist. I am not sure that I have it mastered even after a week of daily use.
PROS
- Anker brand, quality, and innovation
- Comfortable for all-day use
- Battery life suitable for nearly any use for all-day
- Design is great and the charger case is fun and stylish
- Offers a unique heart rate monitor built in to the earbuds
CONS
- Not sure the heart rate monitor is necessary for everyone

Can I get a Whoop, Whoop?
on October 24, 2022
Posted by: IronHorseGPS
The Whoop 4.0 Wearable Fitness Coach is an improvement in technology and reduction in size from its predecessor the 3.0. Bringing technology and fitness together in a unique way, Whoop isn't a fitness watch, but rather a fitness partner to help you gain insight and results in your journey. Offering up to 5 days of battery life, the Whoop 4.0 allows you to wear it all day and night to ensure you are getting the most data for your reference. Know how much strain you are putting on your system during a workout or just at work, learn about your sleep patterns and get notified when you need to head to bed for optimal recovery.
I found the Whoop 4.0 to be a nice alternative to my typical fitness watch which required charging every night and I miss out on my sleep cycle data. The Whoop never misses a beat when it comes to my sleep and schedule. I did find the app to be a bit overwhelming to use and a bit underwhelming on the user experience, thus my 4-star review. Trying to navigate to the right slide/level of the data is a bit frustrating and I found quicker answers on the website over the app.
PROS
- Whoop's technology, innovation, and fitness awareness
- Design and comfort for all day/night wear
- Easy, adjustable band for any type of work out or sport activity
- Long-lasting battery life for several days of use between charges
- App and website access to data
CONS
- I am not a big fan of the app as compared to other fitness brands. It could be made better and quick access to data.

Swann wireless at its best!
on October 4, 2022
Posted by: IronHorseGPS
The Swann - CoreCam Indoor/Outdoor Wireless 1080p Security camera offers what true wireless security cameras should be - wireless! Offering nearly everything that the Swann wired cameras offer, this product finally cuts the cords freeing you to place it anywhere you need it and much less effort for set up.
I found this camera to be exactly what we were looking for regarding wireless security cameras. Having used wireless cameras from other companies at our last house, we struggled to find the right solution for our new home. This Swann camera finally cuts the cords and allows us to set it up right where we needed it as long as we have a connection to wifi. I am still researching to see if this can be connected to other Swann camera products or if these can be set up en masse around out property. Adding the solar panels are perfect for use with about 300 days of sunlight and a 3-month battery life when used regularly. The only concern we have is the low temp is recommended a -5 degrees, but we can regularly get below this in the winter. It may need to be taken down during the winter which somewhat defeats the purpose during this time.
PROS
- Swann design and brand quality
- Truly wireless operation
- Long battery life between charges
- Solar Panel addon reduces or eliminates the need to recharge battery
- User friendly app with 2-way voice
- High quality video day or night
CONS
- Temperature ratings may be out of spec for some areas.

Streaming at home or on the go - Google Chromecast
on October 4, 2022
Posted by: IronHorseGPS
The Chromecast with Google TV (HD) - Snow is perfect for home, office, man/woman cave, or for travel. Bring your favorite channels, streaming services, and apps with you no matter where you are. Don't lose a beat by getting stuck watching the limited selections on hotel TVs, just plug in your Chromecast and your can pick up where you left off in your binge watching!
I found the Chromecast with Google TV (HD) - Snow to be useful in our RV as well as at the house when we are not traveling. Instead of relying on physical cable hookup, we can connect to Wi-Fi and we are able to enjoy a show or a movie in the comfort of our rig, or outside while bbqing to watch the game. It is great for both travel and at home and is much more compact and portable than their fruity competitor and a far better price.
PROS
- Google brand, functions, and user experience
- Easy to use - plug and play
- Connects to your existing Google account for access to all your apps or TV anytime
- User friendly functionality
CONS
- Does short-change on other devices' exclusive programming, but not a deal-breaker!

This is nearly a Daddy Shark doot doot da doo!
on October 4, 2022

The Shark ION in white is a great everyday vacuuming experience for those too busy to get out the stick vacuum or are looking for a quick touch up when you are out. Shark's ION offers powerful suction and brushing motions to help ensure dust, pet hair, and dirt are removed from your floors and helping reduce allergens from your home. The ION comes with everything you need right out of the box including a charging/docking station. You can be up and cleaning in just a few minutes or wait about an hour for your shark to fully charge for a whole room/floor cleaning.
I found this Shark robot vac to be exactly what we needed upstairs. We already have a different model downstair and it does a great job. This ION makes great strides in helping us keep the pet hair and dust bunnies under control on our mostly hardwood floors. It even tackles our heavy pile area rug with ease. My only complaint is the design is flawed in that the Shark backs into its dock rather than fronts in. Why? I have no idea since the collection tray is on the back of the vacuum. You have to physically remove the bot from the dock to remove the tray and then return it or push the dock button to get it back in to charging position.
PROS
- Shark brand and innovation
- Powerful suction and collection for a bot style vac
- Powerful motors power through bare floors or high pile carpet
- Easy to set up
- Charges quickly and is always ready
- Connects with app for a great user experience
CONS
- Vac backs in making it impossible to remove the collection tray without remove the vac from the dock

MagSafe failure on an otherwise excellent company!
on October 4, 2022
Posted by: IronHorseGPS
The iOttie - Velox MagSafe Compatible Magnetic Wireless Charger is an unfortunate misstep by the normally outstanding product line of iOttie. MagSafe is a failed concept that puts both the phone peril and the user fighting to keep the phone attached. iOttie is one of the best magnetic phone holder producers having several variation and product to meet a user's needs... this is not one of them.
I found this product to do only two things right... stick to the window which it does extremely well and wirelessly charge the phone. What it fails at is basically everything else. The limited range of motion/position of this product places the phone nearly 90 degree perpendicular to the floor, the dash, or your knee. The magnet works, but the phone (I use the iPhone 13 Pro Max) remains connected on smooth, even roads with no bumps, cracks, or hard stops - you are golden. If you are like most people, your roads will not be this perfect and you will find yourself trying to catch a dropping phone several times during your drive!
PROS
- iOttie name
- Charges phones well
CONS
- MagSafe is terrible technology
- Magnet will not hold phone unless the road is perfectly smooth
- Knees or Dash will take the brunt of falling phones
- Not ideal for drivers who like to stay hand-free!

Video doorbell security and features affordability
on October 4, 2022
Posted by: IronHorseGPS
The Wyze - Video Doorbell Wired (Horizontal Wedge Included) brings everything you need for your video doorbell security and features without the high price of "systems," setup, or contracts. Wyze Video Doorbell offers 1080p video quality with night vision included, user app, and indoor speaker to ensure you do not miss someone at your door or a delivery.
I found the Wyze Video Doorbell to be a nice surprise since I was not familiar with their company brand. Having used other doorbell products including contract versions with alarm companies, and do-it-yourself brands, but this product easily kept up with all the DIY products I have used before. The app is available for iOS or Android and easy to use for any experience level. Setup is easy if you have every replaced a wired doorbell or are comfortable with a screwdriver and 2 wires.
PROS
- WYZE quality and construction
- App and user experience
- Easy install and setup
- High quality video, day and night
- 2-way talk feature via the app
CONS
- While I have no evidence to be concerned about at this time, I am concern how the product will hold up in high temps/direct sunlight in my area.

Possibly the lowest cost per page Laser Printer BW
on September 3, 2022
Posted by: IronHorseGPS
The HP - LaserJet Tank 2604sdw Wireless Black-and-White All-In-One is the newest HP entry into the low price per page print market. Gone are the days of high cost and bulky toners, not earth-friendly and the need to recycle just to clear the clutter from your office. Now replaced by a small bag to refill, you can get up to 5000 pages or 2-years of printing before needing to refill. Everything you have come to expect from an HP printer without the bulk, waste, and costs of toner replacements.
I found the HP LaserJet Tank to be a welcomed addition to my home office. I have several projects and charities I am working with and often donate the printing costs to help them. The HP Tank offers a new way to print high volume without breaking my wallet in the process. Refilling is simple and not messy if done correctly. I only wish this was a color/BW version!
PROS
- HP brand and quality
- HP printer design and innovation
- Low-cost toner refills
- Capacity: 250 page tray, 100 page holder
- Life: Up to 5000 pages or 2-years
- Color copier, 1-sided
- BW print with full duplex for 2-sided prints
CONS
- Only missing color options.

Protections for your Identity and Security
on August 18, 2022
Posted by: IronHorseGPS
The LifeLock Standard (1 Adult) (1-Year Subscription with Auto-renew) for Android, PC, iOS, and Mac is a digital software subscription to help secure your personal identity and peace of mind in a world of prying eyes, the dark web, and other nefarious agents. Using your personal data, Lifelock monitors your identity and notifies you when your information is found in bad places. Be alerted when your credit is accessed, new credit cards/lines are opened in your name, or if your information ends up where it shouldn't be.
I found this product to do what it is marketed to do, however, it requires significant effort on the part of the individual to address the concerns raised by the software. It is very hard to actually manage all of the issues. Unfortunately, this also means that information was compromised and requires a lot of effort. This product would be better if it automatically fixed many of the concerns for you.
PROS
- Lifelock's name and reputation
- Works as it is designed to do
- Easy download and setup
CONS
- A lot of personal time and effort is needed to address issues discovered
- Not automated to fix issues

NOT what the hype makes it out to be!
By DrHedrick from Western Washington
So far, after about 5 days, I am somewhat disappointed with the Galaxy S6. The battery life sucks compared to the Note 2 I am switching from. It is very laggy and definitely not "snappy" as per the many claims. Sometimes it must be restarted to be able to use it as the fingerprint unlock and alternate keyboard unlock do not work and the phone blacks out after 3 seconds. Only 32GB available onboard and I have the over half-way filled at this point and no way to expand it with a sealed phone. The fingerprint scanner is fair, but useless while driving. Hard to navigate or find previously easy to use settings. Notifications are frustrating since they all are OFF out of the box.
As a somewhat power user, I wish I had opted for the Note 4/Edge instead of settling for the S6.
The few Pros I can offer are the following...
1. The screen and clarity is amazing
2. The pictures and videos are equally amazing
3. Smaller and lighter than the Note series
4. Interesting new features, although I have not had time to fully explore them.
There are better options available if you can afford them... ie- Galaxy Note series!

A Great Idea crippled by horrible App
By OmieOne from East Stroudsburg, PA
This is a great idea. Three routers with a backhaul over Mu-MIMO. In theory could get good coverage for a house and for the people who get this to work I'm sure it is a great product. I have wasted over 3 hours over two days trying to get this router to work. I can only get one Node configured. The other two nodes won't connect event when I place the nodes right next to each other, I still get errors like out of range.
My experience has been very poor. Please note to setup and administrator this router IT REQUIRES and IOS or ANDROID DEVICE. This app is not in the Amazon store. I have a few of the cheaper Amazon tablets and figured while I wait for my new Android phone I could use that or worse case like EVERY OTHER ROUTER ON THE MARKET I could hardwire or connect to default wireless network and setup the routers via a web page. No. If you try Linksys Mocks you and tells you must use an app. I had to borrow an android phone to setup this up to test. I should have stopped there. I don’t mind apps and it would be fine if the app was useful. But it isn't. It was written under the assumption you would not have a problem, but the number of times I've tried to add Nodes to this and got told, hey you'll need a plug etc. It takes like 5 clicks to start the add a node process. Not ideal, esp. if you notice someone keeps trying stop making me over click. Seeing it say Uh-Oh press the red reset button and have it not really fix the issue just induces rage, or when it says it is setting up and just hangs, no good.
Also, when the nodes don't connect there is no useful information. The Linksys Range extender I have gave me more information via the web page then this app on if they are two far or close.
Additionally, I've tried resetting the system, via the reset button, but I have no idea if that is working since I can't connect to the router except via the app and it doesn't tell me if it is back to default connection. Additionally, this app connects to your Velop via an Internet cloud connection. It is faster when your connected via wireless to the node, but still have that little cloud connection, and I'm not a fan of having to connect to a Cloud service that I can't two factor protect and won't use the full keyboard of symbols forcing me to use an extra-long password to protect my router.
This setup experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth and crippled what could be a good idea. The single router when it was working I checked my phone, and I know it is using both 5Gz and 2.4Gz still have me a strong signal throughout my house and only needs one. But I was looking forward to using this to extend some LAN ports to a few places and saving me a few 50ft. cords I have in the house. With the backhaul it would have been able to cover the data my switches have.
Other cons no USB ports so if you have a printer or USB HDD on your current router, you'll need to consider other options if you go with this.
I really wanted to like it, but not providing a customer with additional tools or an easy way via the app to reset or control the router is frustrating. I know my next step is to try this weekend to contact customer service open a case and see if they can fix it. But even if they get it working, the fact that I must use an Android App, and can’t use a desktop to manage it, makes me worry what will happen if it goes wrong or worse since it is app only what will happen when someone finds a vulnerability in the cloud service Linksys uses to connect back to the routers and start messing with them. I wish they would at least have some form of two factor and allow for more complex passwords, or at the very least once the initial setup is done disable the external web connection cloud service and only allow the app to work when I’m locally connected.
For everyone who got this to work I’m sure this will be the product, just hope you don’t have an issue that requires troubleshooting.
On the one working node I did test the speed and it seemed over wireless my EA9500 was more consistent and a bit faster from the same source and destination for a large file copy, but the Velop was close enough that most people wouldn’t notice anything. I also tested the single working node with some online gaming, both in the other Ethernet slot and wireless and I didn’t notice any performance impact. Since I can’t get all the nodes I have tested true load to report, but I’m sure others who have it working will, and I’m sure once I work with Linksys support I can get this system working it will be fine and provide me with spotless coverage. Just the whole having to use an app, and what I feel a limited and poorly designed app, and have it forced down on us with no backup connection has left a sour feeling and makes me worry about what will happen in the future if these devices go wonky, I won’t be able to troubleshoot, reset/fix as quickly as I could in the past and to be fair to Linksys this is a new product just out and they may fix the app and hopefully add other versions or allow access to the web service locally to manage them. Just know that if you are looking for a mesh like network this isn’t a bad router, but it seems to be crippled by an over simplified app, that is limited to two platforms and requires Internet connectivity to full function.

I found the product to be amazing, but the setup and App-only setup to be cumbersome and frustrating.

Make your home an internet haven with this versatile Linksys Velop wireless Wi-Fi system. Three identical tri-band dual-stream AC2200 routers, each equipped with a quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor, deliver lightning-fast internet. Equipped with Bluetooth 4.0/LE, this Linksys Velop wireless Wi-Fi system is simple to set up and pairs easily with computers, tablets and smart devices.

So if you get 15 people or more connected to wifi playing PS4 tablets cellphones and smartvs. It won't slow the internet speed or disconnect?

Fran,

The Velop system can manage multiple users and keep the speeds consistent, however, like with any other wifi system and internet data stream, it will all depend on the bandwidth of your service. If you only have 20 Mbps, using the Velop system can only use this bandwidth among the 15 people. The Tri-mode system of the Velop helps ensure that maximum speed is available for the bandwidth you send it.

In short... all systems will eventually slowdown as the demand increases. This system attempts to maximize what it is given.

Do I still l need to pay a service provider each month (like Comcast or Verizon)?

Jean,

Yes! The Velop system is not an internet provider. It is a whole home wireless mess network to carry your internet connection seamlessly throughout your home or business. You must still have access to the internet via a service provider and modem.

Are these wireless? Or do these need a LAN connection from my service provider like a typical wireless extender?

Kdchs,

This system is wireless, however, your "parent" node must be physically connected to your modem via Ethernet cable or wireless to a modem/router combo. The additional node operate wirelessly and do not need Ethernet cables.

Is this system comparable to using a single router and two or three remote access points at different locations within the home?

Tincup,

Your question is accurate. It is similar to this, however, remember that the Velop system is a mess network and therefore offers seamless transition between nodes and much faster speeds than the setup you are referring to. If you need wider range or better speeds, you need the Velop system!

Can I connect my printer (Cannon iP8700) to this via wifi?

Palimow,

Since the Cannon iP8700 printer appears to be wifi compatible, there would be no issues adding it to your Velop Mess network. The Velop system make for a seamless whole home/office wifi network with strong signals and fast speeds.

Will you be offering the 2 pack? The 3 pack is unnecessary unless your house is over 5,000 sq ft.

The Velop system will be available in 1, 2, and 3 packs.

Plan for about 2000 sq ft per Velop Node and you can determine how many you will need.

how can everyone give 5 stars for a product that is not out for purchasing? None of them are verified purchaser. This product must suck so bad it needs fake review.

It came out at the end of December for some people and full release in early January.

I have personally had mine since Tuesday. While I like it a lot, Linksys' App is why I gave it a 4-star not the 5-star I had hoped to give it.

These reviews are legit - not fake reviews.

Whip up healthy drinks with the Nutri Ninja BlendMax blender. Its Total Crushing blade technology and 1600W of power grind vegetables and frozen fruits, letting you create luscious smoothies, purees and fresh juices. The Nutri Ninja BlendMax blender comes with two interchangeable pitchers, letting you mix up to 88 oz. of ingredients or extract nutritious vitamins.

What is the HP on the Ninja- Nutri Blendmax Auto -iq Boost 88 oz blender? I know the 1500 watt has a 2HP

Based on your question, the calculation from Watts (1600) to Mechanical Horsepower for this unit would be 2.145635 HP.

This would be only slightly more than that of the 1500 watt unit which is technically 2.011533 HP in these terms.

1 Watt = The amount of power equal to one joule of energy per second. Watt is the SI unit for power. 1 W = 1 J/s = 1 N*M/s = 1 kg*m2/s3

Create a reliable internet connection throughout your home with this Google Wi-Fi system. The convenient package of three connectivity points effortlessly covers even large homes up to 4,500 square feet. This Google Wi-Fi system eliminates uneven bandwidth usage among multiple devices, including cellphones and tablets, for an unimpeded connection that doesn't lag behind.

Will these work on a regular Verizon broadband? They don't offer the fios out where I liv yet

Sure, if you have an available Ethernet out from your Verizon modem, these should work fine.

What type of range does each unit have?

Each seems to cover about 800-1000 sq ft. or so.

I have a home that is 1926 sq feet, split level and it covers everything fine and we get signal in the garage as well (nearly 900 sq ft).
The signal is a little weaker upstairs using just one pod.

Using all three from this pack made the whole house light up and we can access the internet out in the yard about 50 ft from the house in all directions.
