FPV FTW! Amazing FPV Drone!
on April 20, 2024
Posted by: Nate34
Ive had quite a few drones over the years. Some cheap and bad and some expensive but just OK. This DJI is not only not very expensive for what you get, but it is the best drone Ive had by far.
In the box you get EVERYTHING you will need and more! DJI Avata 2, goggles, a motion controller (which also is a whole new experience), extra propellers, charger, cables, accessories, a bag, and 3 batteries! This is awesome that you get extra batteries. In every other RC/ drone Ive ever bought extra batteries were always a separate purchase.
The initial set up was very easy. I just followed a video from DJI online and was up and ready in minutes. There are so many features this drone has it will take awhile to learn everything. But nothing ever got overwhelming. The safety and convenience features make it easy to get started while you learn.
Ive had drones in the past that had cameras and lots of the same features. But although I was always curious about how using goggles would change things up. And now I know. Its a completely different experience! Ive been into RC since I was a kid. Mainly cars and trucks, a few planes, then drones later in life. They all were very similar experiences in that you would just control it with a controller and watch from afar. But with goggles its like you are actually doing the flying!
Although I do prefer a standard controller the motion controller for this works amazing. Im not completely new to motion controllers, but I am to this one. It took awhile to adjust to what does what on it, but in no time it became second nature and its very intuitive.
The flight is so good, and much faster than I expected. Its completely stable at all speeds and when you let off the throttle it snaps to hover so well. Im still getting use to the controller and might get the standard one, but for now it works very well.
Each flight was about 12-15 minutes if you go all out. But since you have 3 batteries you can pretty much fly for close to an hour. More if you have a way to keep your batteries charging while you fly. But its plenty of time for me.
The camera and recording on this is top notch. The quality of the video and pics are excellent. Video is very stable and with 46gb of internal storage you can get lots of great footage. You get amazing PFV content that allows you to get views and footage that was impossible before with any other camera set up.
But of course the main draw here is FPV flying which is AMAZING! Ive watched lots of videos of others in FPV, but until you strap the goggles on and take flight you dont know just how immersive this is. It can even get scary at times when you are going fast near trees, and other obstacles, etc. Until you remind yourself your not in the actual cockpit. But as close as you can be for sure! Flips, rolls, etc are so much funner in first person.
Like I said up top this is the best drone I have ever had or flown before. And for what you get for the price I dont see any others that even come close. Im looking forward to taking this out to the lake to get some cool beach side footage. If you want amazing flying, with 4k footage, and 3 batteries for almost continual flight, and perfect FPV look no further. The Fly more combo is the one!

Amazing sound, helpful features, wireless!
on April 20, 2024
Posted by: Nate34
In the box you get the soundbar, sub woofer, remote, wireless module, power and hdmi cables, 2 surround speakers, speaker cable, and wall mount kit.
Set up was very easy due to it being wireless. I didnt think it was necessary until set up and its so much easier and cleaner! No more needing to run super long cables everywhere. Once everything had power and was on the speakers automatically connected. There is a manual way to pair, but wasnt required for me. Complete set up only took about 15 minutes and was ready to go.
The remote is very nice with just the necessary buttons. I like the way it has only one button to control the volume by just “rocking” it up and down.
There is a feature called “Q Symphony” that will work if connected to a Samsung TV. In my case I was using a Sony OLED. But the sound was still awesome! I was amazed at just how much this sounded like a full 7.1 surround system despite only being a soundbar and 3 speakers. The sound felt like it was traveling if that makes sense. It adds a whole new dimension to movies and shows I had already seen. The sub woofer is very loud, with plenty of boom without and distortion. Highs and mids are crisp, voices clear, and it just overall sounds great.
It has plenty of sound modes. I personally prefer the adaptive mode because its smart enough to know the content and adjust the sound accordingly. The only other mode I use is the game mode for gaming. This mode makes it easy to locate things in game and explosions, gunfire, etc. sound amazing.
Another really cool feature I have not had in any other system before is called “A.V.A.”. Active voice amplifier. This boosts voice and dialogue if there is room noise. When this was an issue before I use to just turn on subtitles. But this works very well when you have company that just arent paying attention to the TV and want to talk.
Overall this is one of the best soundbar/ surround systems Ive ever had. It has perfect sound, several actual helpful features, wireless to avoid cable routing, and of course Samsungs quality. Love it.

A one laptop does it all solution!
on March 28, 2024
Posted by: Nate34
Asus has been knocking it out of the park lately and this is no exception. This laptop does it all and does it well. I just recently got my first OLED TV. I had been wanting one for years, and when I finally got it all the praise I had seen and read about finally made sense. Well this is my first OLED laptop and I get that same “WOW” feeling all over again.
The screen is absolutely immaculate. Even at “only 1080p FHD” its beautiful. Colors pop off the screen, text and everything else is super sharp. Just like with my TV I didnt think I needed OLED, but now that I have it there isnt any going back!
As far as ports go it has all the bases covered. One HDMI 2.1, one Thunderbolt 4, Two USB-A 3.0, Two USB-C 4, headphone, and microphone. And for Wi-Fi it has Wi-Fi 6E.
Performance for your everyday tasks is extremely fast and responsive with no latency at all. Boot up times with the 1TB SSD is almost instant. And with the NVIDIA RTX 3050 you can use this as your gaming PC, but also as your content creator and editor as well. And it also has 16gb of ram.
The one thing that has almost always been the case with any laptops that you can game on in the past has been loud fans, and uncomfortable heat if its on your lap. The thermal tech in this makes everything cool and quiet. Which of course helps with overall performance as well.
Battery life of course completely depends on use. But it does have a 75Wh capacity, and 50% charging in about 30 minutes. Its on par with the best out there for sure.
Audio from laptops is usually not all that great, and most people just know theyll be using some sort of external option. But the stereo audio from the Asus is great. Not sure what certified by Harman Kardon actually means, but I do know they are well known audio experts. So along with the Dolby Atmos tech the audio is very crisp, loud (but not distorted) and will be just fine for most.
So in summary this is one of the best all around laptops I have. In order for me to actually want to replace my current laptops the one I am getting needs to be something special. Not just a minor yearly iterative upgrade. And the Asus Vivobook definitely meets that requirement and then some. Im sure I have only scratched the surface of what this laptop has to offer, but thats what makes this so fun. Experimenting with it and saying to yourself “Oh, it can do that too?”.

Finally the entire house has strong reliable Wifi!
on December 15, 2023
Posted by: Nate34
We recently upgraded our house to Gigabit speeds. For a long time the 200 mb/s we were getting was enough. But with more and more devices, and those devices needing more data (larger game downloads, etc.). As well as other devices requiring faster and more reliable connections to work and stream properly I finally upgraded to Gigabit internet. Well I thought that would be all I needed to do. Dont get me wrong there were improvements, but most devices still needed to be fairly close to our new single router then before. So I needed a way to take that new faster connection and get it throughout the house, and even into our garage where I do a lot of projects and often use my phone to get help with them. Enter the TP-Link Deco BE1600 quad mesh system.
The install and set up was a breeze. The app was easy to follow and I ran into zero issues while setting it all up. The app is very easy to use if you want a simple set up. But has all of the advanced settings you would ever need if you want to get in and tweak it to your needs. Out of the 2 ways to connect I went wireless. There is a wired ethernet option but running new cables all over was just not feasible. Everything just worked. Thats unfortunately rare with these app set ups, but so nice when it does!
Once everything was up and running we not only now had our new Gigabit internet, but basically skipped Wifi 6 and went straight to Wifi 7. So we are pretty much future proofed when new devices come out with the latest and greatest Wifi. No more dead spots, and even the worse area the garage has a nice strong signal so I can use my phone to look up tutorials and help while working on my various projects. And all of our 4 TV's now have a very strong reliable connection to stream with no buffering or degraded resolution.
Overall I am loving this new addition to our house. Its vastly improved every devices connections speed and reliability. Well worth it. If you want to fix/ improve your house or offices wireless while at the same time future proofing it with Wifi 7 this is the way to go. Highly recommended!!

Were getting closer to the Jetsons house every day
on November 14, 2023
Posted by: Nate34
Like a lot of us I have 2 rather messy dogs. And keeping up with them is quite the hassle. So any help I can get is welcomed. And our house is a 2 floor type house. So normally that would mean getting a vacuum for our carpets, and then a mop for the hardwoods. Well with the iRobot J9+ all 3 of these are taken care of. Gets our carpets, mops the hardwood, and makes getting pet hair up a breeze. And all of this gets done automatically. Its almost 100% set and forget, but with any device like this some simple maintenance goes a long way. And all of that is very easy.
The app allows you to set up all your zones you want to get cleaned, and those you want the vacuum to stay away from. And its pretty smart as well. It will automatically switch between full mop and vacuum. The battery easily lasts for a full cleaning and then some.
Once its done it automatically returns to the base station to charge, refill, and dump. Like I said its so close to get and forget it makes me wish all my other devices were so smart.
Overall I love this little robot helper. We are getting closer everyday to a Jetsons type house where everything is done by a robot. That is until they all become self aware and you have a little robot vacuum trying to trip you every time you walk by. LOL. If you want to keep your floors and carpets cleaned, but are getting tired of busting out your old push vacuum and mop this is the way to go for sure.

Amazing sound, extremely comfortable, best yet.
on October 19, 2023
Posted by: Nate34
I've had a lot of different wireless earphones. Some with great sound but other issues. Some not so great sound with no other issues. And some that come close to being great on all fronts, but don't quite get there. The Bose Quietcomfort Ultras get it all right.
The most important thing of course is the sound. And the best way I can explain it is that it's right. What I mean is it hits all the different aspects of sound in just the right way. Super crisp highs, powerful mids, and lows that are accurate and not overly boomy. It's exactly what I think the music, etc is supposed to sound like!
And in the name is comfort and they definitely are. I have a rather large head and all my headphones have to be at the largest setting. The same goes here but the fit great. No ear pain at all. Almost forget they're on.
The initial set up and connection was a breeze. For me that's connected to my S23+ that has my music collection. Connecting via Bluetooth was a breeze. And although not required the app is well worth it. Makes tweaking the sound and setting other features worth the download. We'll laid out and easy to use app.
Another great feature that Bose does better than most is it's active noise cancelling. It's kind of hard to explain a lack of something unless you don't "hear" it. Ambient noise just disappears like magic.
Battery life is claimed at 24 hours and although I don't see it reaching that often, the life is still excellent. If you reconnect to charge at least once a day I don't see it running out.
Overall these are the best wireless headphones I've had. You get the perfect Bose sound, top of the line noise cancelling, great battery life, super comfort, with all the features you'll ever need in one package with a very nice case too. A must for audio enthusiasts!

The Detect Pro robot vacuum is powered by 3 deep-cleaning technologies that enable the robot to maximize performance by sensing mess level, floor type, and edges & corners. DirtDetect sees even the hidden debris and automatically increases suction and cleaning passes to remove the mess on carpets and hardfloors. Now with NeverStuck technology, this robot will navigate around obstacles AND lift itself up and over thresholds and onto thick carpets. Not only can the robot deep clean, but you also do not have to worry about it getting stuck. Detect Pro finishes the cleaning mission every time and with each clean will empty itself into its bagless base that contains a HEPA Anti-Allergen Seal trapping dust & allergens inside. The odor neutralizer technology will also ensure the odor is trapped in the base for a fresher smelling home and making it the ultimate end to end solution for pet hair pick up.

Powerful robot vacuum especially for our dogs
on October 13, 2023
Posted by: Nate34
We have 2 dogs that arent exactly the most clean of animals. And aside from an accident here and there the main issue is shedding. You sometimes dont know how bad it is until you vacuum and see just how much has accumulated since the last time. Well with the Shark Pro I dont have to worry about that. It handles it all. And the Shark can handle different floor types. This is perfect because our house is about 60% carpet, 40% hard floors.
And of course it does a whole lot more than just pet hair. Dust and allergens are also picked up. And that alone saves money. Not having to go out and buy allergy meds every makes it worth it or sure. And its so automated that once you have it set up there really isnt a lot to do other than the maintenance which is very easy. Its all laid out in the easy to read and follow manual and only takes a few minutes.
I cant say enough good about how much easier keeping our house clean and pet hair dealt is with this auto vacuum. Its a must for pet owners, multi floor type houses, and more. I have a lot of friends with pets that I will be recommending this too for sure!

Excellence in PC gaming!
on October 13, 2023
Posted by: Nate34
The quick and easy review if you are looking for PC gaming excellence for an affordable price is look no further.
Out of the box the Asus looks awesome. A very solid build with a great design. The panels and edges have a space age look to them that I really like. It has all of the ports you will ever need and then some. The lighting is quite the eye catcher as well.
Initial assembly and set up was very easy with Windows 11. I just recently got my first OLED TV so that is my main monitor. And the combo of the two looks awesome.
The out of the box performance is outstanding. The i7-1300KF and RTX4060Ti combine for exemplary gaming and overall performance. Connected to my OLED TV using the 2.1 port has the smoothest and best looking gameplay I have personally ever seen or experienced. Sound, cooling, processing, and graphics are insane. And of course the SSD makes it all boot up and be ready to go in seconds. And of course with specs like this it handles all the regular stuff like a breeze. Videos, browsing, docs, and the rest are all just as smooth and trouble free as the gaming side of things.
If you are like me and just want a gaming PC that is ready to go and has it all this is a great choice. Top of the line specs, outstanding performance, exceptional cooling, all come together for an amazing gaming experience.

Solid gaming laptop at a great price!
on October 8, 2023
Posted by: Nate34
First off the build is excellent. I really like the look. It does not look like a regular laptop, it has a very unique build design that sets it apart. Looks futuristic if that makes sense. Its very solid and has a decent heft to it at about 6lbs. Which sounds heavy but when you consider whats packed into it thats quite a feat.
The keyboard is backlit which is awesome. The keys feel perfect with great feel and good travel. The trackpad took awhile to get use to since its a bit on the small size. But for a gaming laptop a good quality mouse is a must so thats not a huge issue.
Portwise it has all the parts you need. Including full 2.1 HDMI.
The screen is full HD 1080p, but is not a touch screen. But this wouldnt really be needed in my opinion on a gaming laptop. The graphics with the GeForce RTX 4050 are excellent. And even at lower settings it still looks great and will help with battery and performance.
Storage wise it has a 1B SSD which is a must now a days. Game install sizes have gotten larger and larger with several over 100GBs. So any less storage and you would be having to juggle your game library around. It does however only have 8gbs of RAM so that is something people will most likely want to upgrade. In my experience it was enough, but more doesnt hurt.
Overall game and PC performance was great. Im just now getting into more games with 120hz capability. And I use to think the difference between 60 and 120 wasnt going to be all that much. But after gaming on a machine like this at 120, then going back to consoles with only 60 is very noticeable. And this runs at a very smooth 120hz with no issues at all. And the cooling system kept it nice and cool on the lap, with a very quiet fan as well. And of course it ran Windows 11 well. Your normal usage as a standard laptop is great.
Battery life is basically average. After a few hours your looking to get it plugged in. Its not bad, but its not great either. At lower settings this could get stretched to about 4 hours.
Overall Dell has made a very well built, great performing, feature packed gaming laptop. For the price it would be hard to find something that has these specs and performance. Double up your Ram and add an external battery source and youre good to go.

Good things do come in little packages!

If you are looking for a small, thin, lightweight, yet powerful laptop for everyday use this is an excellent choice.
In the box you get the laptop, power cord and adapter, a USB-C to USB-A Adapter, and various papers. When first seeing the laptop I was surprised at just how beautiful it is. Pictures just dont do it justice. The silver gleams when light hits it, and has a very nice feel and finish. Although I knew it was a thin and light laptop I was still amazed at just how light and thin it is. I still dont get how so much tech can be crammed into such a small device. It comes with a basic felt cover that is OK to keep it protected when shipped, but I wouldnt rely on something like that when out and about. So a decent cover is recommended for sure.
As far as connectivity it is pretty minimal to keep it so thin. 2 USB C Thunderbolt 4 ports and thats it. So for me to connect it to my TV required an adapter I already had. Thankfully USB C is powerful enough to handle most USB hubs so using that expands the wired connections for connecting other stuff.
The display is excellent on this. At 1900X1200 its extremely crisp, plenty bright, and nice black levels. Despite being a 13” screen it only took a couple hours before I was use to it vs. the standard 15” laptops. And combined with the iris graphics everything was as smooth as butter. Lightweight gaming, videos, etc were all handled with ease. No screen tearing, or other display issues at all.
When it comes to performance it shines. The boot time with the 1TB SSD is amazingly quick. The intel I7 Evo along with 32gb of RAM handled everything thrown at it, then even more. Running an HD video, with multiple tabs open, and browsing, switching tasks was perfect. It easily switches to whatever your doing with no delay.
And as mentioned it has a 1TB SSD. So I dont see myself ever needing any external drives for this. In the past I never thought Id need more than 500gb but eventually I end up running out of space and having to move stuff. Not with this. 1TB will be plenty with a lot left over. And with the crazy quick boot-up time getting to work is almost instant.
The battery life is also top notch. Its easily doubles the life of my previous laptop. It has a claimed life of 12 hours and with light use I can see it easily hitting that. But even in moderate to heavy use 7-8 hours was the average.
The audio isnt bad either. The sound was pretty good, but much better with headphones. And I use all my devices with head phones anyway. But even without them the audio was crisp and didnt distort at higher volumes. Nothing to write home about, but theres only so much that can be done with such tiny speakers.
Overall I can say that this is one of the nicest laptops Ive had. And even at only 13” its perfect for on the go computing, videos, games, and more. So compact, yet with plenty of power and features. Recommended!

Excellent TV!
By Faceman from Saint Paul, MN
I bought this TV after comparing several TVs at my local Best Buy store, and was a little hesitant since there were no reviews of it online yet since it is brand new. But after comparing a few options, I decided on this one and am so glad I did. The picture quality is outstanding, and I would say it is on par with some others that are quite a bit more expensive. The sound quality seems good as well. It has three HDMI inputs as well as a USB input (in addition to the other standard inputs), which is nice since some in this price range had fewer inputs. It was really easy to set up, and I'm very happy that I purchased this TV. The only negative at all is if you need more details from the user guide, the included set up instructions refer you to go online to the Sharp website, but this TV is so new that the user guide is not yet online. That wasn't a major problem since set up was really easy and settings are very straight forward. I would definitely buy this TV again if I was looking for another and recommend it to anybody.

Hello. Im still trying to get a new set after our huge earthquake in Napa, Ca. My nice 50" Samsung plasma bit the bullet. Ive been trying to find one that has a PC input since I use it to attach my laptop as well as others. And it seems like its so rare to see a pc input as well as more than 2 HDMI. And I see that this set has both.Still happy with it?

The picture quality is amazing. Movies look outstanding on this TV. I am running everything through my Xbox One with a 4K rated HDMI cable. With my previous 4K TV, off-brand TV i purchased two years ago, the color range was not very big and the blacks were very grainy and made dark scenes look terrible. This TV has amazing color ranges and the black levels are tops! I would give the TV 5 stars without hesitating, but there are two issues i have with it. 1 - the input lag in most games i have played is very noticeable and can get a little frustrating when trying to play a game like Halo or Battlefield. I also wanted this tv because of the 240 hrtz refresh as opposed to the 120 on most other Samsung TV's. Even the improved refresh rate still doesn't clean-up the picture as much as i was hoping it would for fast motion, in video games or in movies. I have not seen sports yet, but tested the "Sports Motion" feature on both movies and games, but doesn't seem to have a big enough effect on the picture to make using the feature worth-while.
I am not regretting the purchase in the slightest, and it is a huge step up from what i had, and should be able to maintain is useful lifespan of 2-3 years to last 5-6 years and still be a "top of the line" TV.

Input lag
August 2, 2015
Have you tried engaging game mode for gaming? It will reduce the lag by a lot. In the reviews I have read this set has one of the lowest lags for 2015 4K Sets. Just an idea.

Great picture

Great picture and sound. The only thing that disappointed me was that was sold without any 3-D glasses. They are also powered glasses, so they are not cheap.

Great Laptop
By techjunkie07
I purchased this laptop a few days ago and man do I love it. This computer has everything I was looking for in a laptop (expect for an SSD) however I felt I could live without it considering the price for this machine. I have never owned an Acer always HP, had it for 7 years and it was time for an upgrade. I do really like this laptop fast, beautiful design and enough ports not to mention the PRICE again you wont be disappointed.

Should be at the top of your TV shopping list!!
By Nate34 from North Bay Area, Ca.
When I started TV shopping I did a lot of research and at first bought the 55” KS8000. I liked that but when the KS9000 went on sale I exchanged it for that. One of the main reasons I went with the 9000 was the design (mainly the stand). On the 55” version of the 8000 the legs are about 44” apart. My stand that I have been using for years for several TV's is only 42” wide. So I had to use a large piece of wood on top of my stand just to be able to set up the 8000. This didnt really look all that great, and I didnt want to have to replace my stand with a wider one. And thankfully the 9000 has a more standard V shaped stand that fits and works great on my TV stand.
And the 9000 also has some improved specs and also looks better in my opinion. I didnt really like the glossy back of the 8000. Anyway I really love this TV. Ive had several Samsungs, and my last set was the JU7100. But decided it was time to upgrade. I dont really miss the lack of 3D because I think I literally only used it once on my 7100 to test it. And I do believe 3D is on its way to being extinct. Anyway the new thing now of course is HDR. And the KS9000 really takes advantage of that. It simply looks amazing. There are several Netflix shows that show what HDR is all about. And I also recently bought the new XBOX ONE S. Ive yet to buy an HDR Bluray, but I will soon. But as I mentioned there is plenty of HDR on Netflix and Amazon Video in the meantime.
One of the really cool new features this years Samsung TV's has its the new Tizen system. It is much more simple and streamlined this year. My favorite feature so far is how well the TV detects whatever device you are connecting and names it accordingly. I have a PS3, PS4, XBOX ONE, 360, and a PC laptop all connected to my TV. And it names them all without me having to do anything. The PS3 and PS4 are both automatically labeled as “Playstation”. And the XBOX One and 360 are both labeled by their full names each. I didnt have to type out names like I have before when customizing my input names. As you can tell I have a lot of things connected to my TV. And since it has 4 HDMI ports I use 2 HDMI 3 way splitters. They automatically switch to whatever source is powered on. So my system is set up like this:
HDMI 1 = Direct TV
HDMI 2 = PS3 and PS4
HDMI 3 = XBOX ONE S
HDMI 4 = PC, Wii U, and XBOX 360
The reason I am listing these all out is because I want to add how smart this TV is. It switches the settings, input name, and device type on HDMI 4 on its own depending on whichever one is powered on. And I have different settings for PC and the Wii U and 360. I use to have to manually switch the input type every time I went from one to the other. But when I power off a device it automatically switches all the settings and input types on its own.
Of course a review of a TV without talking about picture quality isnt complete so here we go. Simply put its amazing. The colors and picture are awesome. It also has very good motion handling, especially if you set Auto Motion plus to Auto. But this gives you the dreaded SOE (Soap Opera Effect). Which I really dont care for. So I use a custom setting for Auto Motion (Blur 3, Judder 3, and LED Clear Off). This gives it very good motion handling with very little SOE.
As you read above I am a gamer. And one of the main things I look for when TV shopping is the input lag (or lack thereof). And this is one of the best TV's released this year for low input lag. In Game mode the lag is only 20.5 ms. This is great, I dont notice any lag at all. I was also thinking of getting the Sony X930D but decided not to for a few reasons, one of those is that it has about 54ms of lag. This isnt terrible, but would be noticeable in my opinion.
The other main reason I went with the Samsung over the Sony is that I am still not sold on the Android Smart platform. I tested it on a 2015 Sony and it was just too buggy. I have read it is better this year, but in my opinion the new Tizen is much better.
Another thing I look for in TV's is a good USB media player for videos on hard drives. And Im happy to say that the Samsung recognizes and plays every single file type I have tested. It also has SRT subtitle support.
So overall I am very happy with this TV. It is by far the nicest set I have ever owned and I look forward to years of use with it. If you are looking for a new HDR 4K TV this should be on the top of your list. If you want a cheaper alternative go with the KS8000. Just be aware on the 55” version of the 44” wide legs. On the larger versions the 8000 has optional closer leg mounts, but for some reason Samsung did not do this on the 55” version. Anyway thanks for reading. If you have any questions or comments feel free. Ill try to answer and respond.

Im the review writer, needed to add info.

The one issue I am having is that the source list and its icons go blank every couple days, sometimes more. This is a known issue and apparently Samsung is looking into it. As a work around you can hold down the power button on the remote to force it to reboot. This brings the source list back, but its still an issue. Its only the upper source list, the lower one doesnt go away. If you own the set you'll know what I mean by the upper one. Thankfully this is an issue that can be fixed via firmware update, but as of 1131 (9-23-16) it still happens. If it gets fixed Ill try to update my review.

By gamerdad
1. I like the packaging! very nice box!
2. very lightweight!
3. these are very comfortable on the ears
4. don't like that I have to buy a "mod" kit for $$300 headphones that's just shady the stock ear covers are great though...
5. magnetic base is good
6. no problems with setup
7. the optical cable and USB cable are way too short
8. originally bought the turtle beach 800 elite. but returned it bc it was rather inconvenience to wear when reclining and gaming... these a50 do not give me that problem
9. sound is a good for the simulated 7.1 setup.. I could pick out footsteps from different ears bass is good..
10... buy the protection plan... all I've read astro service can be not what you want it to be., I'd rather just deal with best buy return dept...
11. Happy with my purchase

Battery question
November 3, 2016
I know these have better battery life than the previous gens but have you had them actually run out on you? I have 2 sets of Gen 2's now that I just swap out when one headset dies and then start charging it. I use my A50's for all my TV audio not just gaming so they run out after about 5 hours or so, so Im hoping that the Gen 3's will always have enough battery to get through the day as long as I set them back on the charger when not using them. Thanks

Great headset
By Anthony
I have owned A40s and currently own a pair of last gen A50s. The new A50s make a lot of great improvements over last gen. No chat cable is great and the docking station acts as an external sound card for the PC and does not require an optical cable for full 7.1 which is awesome. Audio quality seems to be better that the old A50s. I would occasionally get some low buzzing noise in the old model but the new ones are crisp and have no such issues so far. Battery life is significantly improved and the auto shut off is a welcome addition(the headset senses that it has been put down and shuts off after 15 seconds. Once it senses it have been moved it turns right back on. Usually the audio is already coming in by the time I put it on my head). Build quality is super solid. Expensive but they sound great and are a quality product. I am not wild about the color scheme but I can deal with it.

Modem/Router

I am trying to stream Netflix to two different televisions.. Do I need to purchase a second Modem?
If so, will cox cable recognize a second modem? In other words, must I pay more and register a second Modem with them?
NO, you dont need 2 modems. All you need is 1 modem, and a wireless router. Then set up the wireless on the router, then any device that has internet can connect to the router by searching for wireless and entering your password.
