Amazing album

Let me just say that I'm pretty much a fan of Ska music and music from the 1980's. These guys fit into neither category but they've become one of my favorite bands. My buddy introduced me to this CD during a road trip and I immediately had to get the CD once we got back. This CD is fantastic...one of the few that I can listen to from the very start to the very end without skipping tracks (it's rare that I get a CD where I don't dislike at least one or two songs). It's hard for me to list only a few songs here because they're all good, but "This Is The Life", "Undercover Martyn", "Cigarettes In The Theatre", and "What You Know" are great. I recommend this CD to anyone who likes good music...you will get a lot of that on this CD.

Steve Barron's big-screen treatment of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comes to DVD with a pair of transfers. The widescreen image preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1, and is preferable to the standard full-frame transfer. An English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1 and a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Stereo. English, French, and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include the original theatrical trailer, character biographies, and an interactive game that is played by using the DVD remote control. This is a fine disc from New Line that should entertain Turtles enthusiasts.

A timeless classic...for my generation at least

When the complete TMNT series came out on blu-ray a few years ago I refused to buy it due to the abomination that is TMNT 3 (horrible movie). I'm very glad I held out. I must say, when I purchased this blu-ray for $4.99, I didn't expect the quality to be very good (and it didn't have to be for that price). However, I was pleasantly surprised...I think the transfer looks great. There really aren't any special features here, but again, for the price you can't complain.

What's not so great: Lack of extras (which I actually expected and am OK with)

An interesting listen from start to finish...

This is one of those CDs where you literally have to listen to it from start to finish. There isn't a single bad song on it, though, as I indicated, a lot of the songs sound similar. As a musician, I find the song structures interesting too - I always enjoy listening to bands that have true musical talent and these guys definitely have it. "Fences" is an awesome song, and other tunes including "Lisztomania" and "Lasso" are solid too. These guys are coming out with a new CD next week and I can't wait.

Some very good songs here...

I purchased this CD after I heard it in my buddy's car. I'm not even a fan of the kind of music these guys play, at least not in most cases, but I really dug what I heard. "Jump Into The Fog" is a fantastic song, and that song alone makes the purchase worth it. Other tracks including "Tokyo", "Our Perfect Disease", and "1996" are quite fun to listen to as well. I'd definitely give the CD at least a listen online to check it out if I were you.
