This one of my favorite's while growing up. What sold me with this movie is watching H.G. Wells adjusting to the times of the modern day's of the 20th century.

Wacky comedy doesn't come any broader than The Private Eyes, featuring '80s favorites Don Knotts and Tim Conway as bumbling detectives attempting to find out who killed Lord and Lady Morley. The small distributor Hen's Tooth Entertainment brings The Private Eyes to DVD for fans of this low-budget comedy. The bad news is that The Private Eyes is presented in a very grainy full-frame transfer. The blacks were not always solid, though the colors were usually bright and clear. Certainly a widescreen version is preferred, or even a cleaned-up version of the print. The audio for The Private Eyes is presented in a less than stellar Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono track. No subtitles are included, though the Dolby 2.0 track is clear of any distortion. Extra features include a scratchy full-frame theatrical trailer for The Private Eyes, as well as a commentary track featuring Tim Conway and producer/director Lang Elliott. The track is a lot of fun, including zingers and production information from both men. The Private Eyes is not as up to par as it should be, but it could have been much worse.

What a one of a kind & rare movie. Classic Don Knotts & Tim Conway humor at their best. A must see movie for those who like this duo in what was one of my all time favorites. From begining to end, with the introduction of the staff to the conclussion of the movie where an acual 'wokalar' appears in the back of the vehicle. Who else can make up such a creature other than Tim Conway? If your the type of person who has a dvd night at home, this would be a perfect movie for the entire family!
What's great about it: The Outstanding duo of Don Knotts & Tim Conway
What's not so great: None
