I like this for gaming and email but for productivity I went with the Lenovo Miix 8 . Sold at best buy as well only for $299
It runs full windows 8.1 and can handle PhotoShop. IPad mini can browse the net extremely well though as long as you don't go to a Flash site.
My Best Buy number: 319200375
What's great about it: it has a very nice display and the latest processor
What's not so great: price is too high
I would recommend this to a friend!

My Best Buy number: 319200375
What's great about it: fast, wireless display out, IPS screen, great battery
What's not so great: build quality is acceptable given its price point, cameras are just ok, power button is a little hard to push

This is my first Lenovo tablet and I am more than pleased with it. Its performance is amazing for a higher priced tablet let alone one that's priced at $249. This tablet really has everything. Lenovo hit on all cylinders here. 20 hour battery, HD display that is gorgeous, integrated kickstand, wireless display out, Dolby speakers, EXCELLENT build quality!
I can also confirm that is plays games like Real Racer 2, and NFS without any trouble. I was really surprised to see how good it ran those. AND it has a micro SD. You won't be disappointed.
My Best Buy number: 0319200375
What's great about it: cost, battery, speed, stand, wireless display, sound
What's not so great: lenovo didnt include any cons on this tablet. It deserves a class of its own

A very nice alternate to the Surface Pro 2

First, let me say that my most stringent use for this tablet is Adobe Flash construct program, Dreamweaver, and PhotoShop. I was very concerned that the base model of this machine (the only model BB sells) wouldn't have the chops to run Adobe. I was wrong. It not only runs it but it runs quick. I am impressed. The price point on this unit is a steal. Just a little higher than a Samsung android tablet. Speaking of tablets this unit is only a little thicker than Sony's own Tablet Z but its a FULL BLOWN Win 8.1 PC. I also love the ir blaster on this unit. It comes with a Remote Control program as well. I think the screen quality will sell this tablet. That and a 128GB SSD.
Only bummer I found was that the keyboard is not backlit.
My Best Buy number: 0319200375
What's great about it: comes with keyboard and pen, very thin, decent battery, expandable storage
What's not so great: win 8.1 is not pre-installed; you have to download and install it
I would recommend this to a friend!

A great first attempt at an 8 inch form factor

First off, the NOTE 8 is a tablet that I have been waiting on and it disappoints me that I may very well return it on the grounds of the lacking display tech. I can take the lower resolution bc the PPI makes up for the non-HD screen. What is unacceptable for me is the amount of LCD light leak coming in around the bezel. It is distracting in the dark on an all black screen (ie viewing movies or Hulu). I feel this product was rushed and the omission of a quality display kinda breaks the deal for me.

Got one of these and booted it up and noticed a lot of LED light leak around the edges. That was fine and I expected some leak on this screen but I went on to find a dead pixel as well. Unacceptable. That cant be acceptable on a $1000 device. Microsoft needs to step up their quality control if they want to be a player in the tablet hardware world. If you want to see an amazing screen check out the Sony VAIO Duo 11. Zero light leak and full 1080p display. Its $200 more but worth a look if you're shopping. I haven't decided if I'm going to exchange it or return it. I bought the accidental damage protection but I didn't expect it to arrive defective. It's more than slightly annoying especially when there's such limited stock.
What's great about it: Full PC experience in tablet form factor
What's not so great: screen issues and build quality

amazing laptop and tablet

The surface pro seems to be a good laptop and tablet, but its overpriced. I experienced some lag when using it. There are many pros and cons about this product. Overall, it doesn't seem to be all bad.

the lag? I'm doing a little pre-purchase research before I buy this AGAIN. First one had a dead pixel out of the box. My MS Store in town has them in stock and I just want to get as much info as I can before pulling the trigger!
Thanks so much!

Run from this for now
By goconfigure from Durham
I bought one on day one from Best Buy. First, let me say that the laptop COULD be great and it probably will be but it's not as of now. There are just too many bugs and build issues. My unit had a faulty muscle wire release mechanism to where it would release from one side only. I updated it to the most current MS release and still no dice. I was planning on exchanging it for another but the rarity of this laptop didn't allow that so I had to return it. My local Microsoft Store had the i7 with DGPU in stock ~a little more $$$ but given the availability of the device I was willing to try it out. That unit had some build quality issues that should not be present in a $2000 plus laptop. The screen bezel displayed lumps and the detach mechanism was inconsistent (again, even after updating# The Microsoft tech agreed that the unit was faulty. In addition to the physical and build issues my the unit also was plagued by all the mentioned software glitches mentioned by users online #ie: the flickering screen, WiFi issues, screen color temp changes while scrolling web pages, random crashes, video driver crashes, etc...) In the end, it was too much for me to stomach. That said, I still love the idea and I will revisit this purchase in the coming months and most likely be re-purchasing a unit once all the bugs are squashed.

Upgraded to the 512GB bad boy
November 13, 2015
Well, upon MS releasing their updated firmware and drivers, I decided to try again. MS seems to have squashed most of the bugs this time around.
FIXED: screen flicker, web scrolling screen temp change, video driver crashes (not as many), speaker pop (though not entirely; still pops sometimes)
STILL TO FIX: battery drain, display driver crashes, sound card driver
There are no build quality issue with this unit save a small bit of LED light leak mainly present upon boot in the upper left corner. A bit of a nitpick I know but this isn't present on my wife's MacBook and I seldomly see it anywhere these days. Seems a shame that MS has it on their flagship device. I'll probably keep this unit though because sometimes the devil you know is better than the one you don't. My replacement could have a worse problem or the dreaded dead or stuck pixel which would warrant an immediate return and frankly I'm tired of setting these units up. I'm planning to buy the MS accidental extended warranty and live worry-free.

Great intro laptop
By AE13
I purchased this laptop to replace my surface pro 3 in hopes I would like it better. I was right I love the surface book and while it's a little heavier the functionality of it is awesome. My only gripe to the surface book is the tablet itself you cannot charge alone or it does not have a USB port on it.

Great Selfie Drone
By thebigdogsd from San Diego
If you are looking for a done that can fit in you pocket and pull out when you want to grab that quick video shot or selfie then this is the drone for you, only con it has is the battery life is only about 6-7 minutes, this is not a drone for people that want to shot professional video just little clips that you can use to share with your friends and social media, it does have some cool advanced feature like follow me and orbit and selfie modes, drone had EIS (electronic image stabilization ) lens can be adjusted for different angles for getting different shots, you can charge the battery using the USB charger with your cell phone charger or other device. flight range is about 300 feet using your Phone with android or IOS app.

The only 2 people with a Dobby from BestBuy

Hello there!

I just wanted to share my case find for this:
Lowepro - Dashpoint Camera Case - Black
Model Number: LP36981
SKU: 5016817
It fits everything in tight (plus an extra battery!) just put the Dobby in upside down and pack the accessories in the lid. Then marvel at the size. Hope this helps!
