Sequels are never a good idea.

I gave this a movie a chance because I loved the original. In fact I watch the first Christmas Story every year on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, I have nothing good to say about this movie. The plot was predictable. The actors weren't great. It really was a bad idea to make a second one. Not the worst movie ever made but definitely not worth actually buying a copy. It looked like a renter and I should have done just that: rented it.
What's great about it: Nothing I can remember unfortunately.
What's not so great: A sequel was made for this great Christmas Classic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
