Size and quality for the price can't be beat

I bought the tv on thanksgiving around 10pm. I had it hung on my wall mount within an hour.
I was disappointed to see there was no optical out, but it's my fault for not researching the product before buying it. Initially, the picture was jumpy and strange, it felt off and I didn't like it.
However that was because of the "screen fit" setting. I switched to 16:9 and it looked great. Slight adjustments to the color/contrast due to the lighting in the room and it was perfect. Different lighting and colors may need different settings on the tv.
For the price, you can't beat how good the tv looks. I use it for tv and movies, not so much gaming, so I can't comment on that.
For those complaining about no optical out, feel free to spend an extra $400 to get a model that has it. It's not like they said it was included, but then didn't.
For those complaining about the video quality, try changing off of screen fit. It makes it much better.
Complaining about sound quality, it's a flat screen. They're not known for great sound.
A cheap receiver supporting HDMI would solve the optical out and sound quality in one solution.
I upgraded from a 47" Sony Bravia LCD and the quality is better to me. I have a cable box and ps3, but my hdmi is switched in my receiver, so I'm only using one of the two HDMI ports. I was shocked to find only two, but it wasn't a big deal for me.
Being a holiday/football weekend I watched quite a bit from Thursday evening to Sunday night, streamed shows from the PS3 or tuned in to the HD verzion fios cable box. I didn't purchase the warranty when I bought it, but I'm debating going back for it.
What's great about it: Size, picture quality, price
What's not so great: No optical out
I would recommend this to a friend!

Antec's Formula 7 thermal compound protects your CPU even when your rig is running on all cylinders. Since little of the CPU's surface actually touches the heat sink, you need a solution that isolates and facilitates the transfer of heat. Formula 7's nano diamond particles minimize the distance between heat-conductive compounds and gladly take on an overclocking environment, optimally performing between -50?C and 250?C. To keep your system cool and your CPU functioning comfortably, pick up Antec's Formula 7 for a diamond-caliber solution.

Good, but not great

At nearly twice the price of it's competition, it was the only thing available locally when I was in a jam.
Provides nearly 3x the thermal transfer than stock thermal pads between a cpu and heat sync, it's a good thermal compound. It's competitor, artic silver, is better for a lower price, but at least in my area completely unavailable. It is, however, better than the generic brands carried.
Whenever changing a heatsync, the thermal paste should always be cleaned off and new paste applied. The paste should be spread evenly throughout the CPU die prior to heat sync installation for ideal heat transfer.
In a jam, it works, but if I had more prep time I'd have ordered artic silver.
What's great about it: Easy to spread
What's not so great: Price
I would recommend this to a friend!
