The cross-dressing comedy Connie and Carla comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1, while a French soundtrack has also been recorded in Dolby Digital 5.1. French and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by director Michael Lembeck and star/screenwriter Nia Vardalos. Their conversation is exceedingly light and trivial, although those who are charmed by Vardalos will easily find it as amusing as they will find the film. Extended versions of the movie's production numbers, outtakes, a behind-the-scenes featurette, and a short documentary on Debbie Reynolds round out the extras on this disc.

A friend took me to see this at a theater after a rough day at work. Bought it when it came out. Wore it out. Bought another 2 copies. The plot is clear and simple. Nia Vardolos is incredible and Toni Collette plays the perfect balance to the pair. David Duchovny aint too shabby either. I recommend this to anyone and everyone looking for a funny, feel-good movie.
What's great about it: Funny from the start, feel-good movie.
