An Old Mouse Means No Mouse

After using this mouse for a year, I have found some things that I do not like about it.
Although I do love the side buttons, after a while I find that I click them on accident. This happens often when I am dragging items across the screen.
Also, the ball on the top of the mouse gets stuck often. Like the ball at the bottom of the old fashion mouse, they tend to need cleaning, but sadly, for this mouse, you can not clean them. I would have to try and move the ball around and get it to work. This is an on and off again project. Since I do not want to fork out 50 bucks for a new mouse, I try my best to get it to work. Right now I can scroll down but not up.
Also, when scrolling I have it set up to my dashboard when pushing the button, but since it's not working properly the dashboard will now pop up almost every time I try to scroll. I had to take off this feature, thus limiting the many uses of my mouse.
I do like the sleek design and the way it eases into my hands, but with no ball I do not think it is worth it. I would like to have an option to make the side buttons a right click, but I do not think that is available. As a gamer this mouse is a no go, and with no scrolling options it makes searching the web a drag.
So, I have maneuvered my way to having this mouse a whole year and a half. Lucky, I would say yes.
What's great about it: Sleek look
What's not so great: Scolling ball does not work properly after a few months
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
