The Resident Evil series is one of my favorite video game series of all times, however they just can't seem to get it right anymore.
When I saw the preview for this game, I thought it looked pretty awesome. Back to the roots, like playing a new Resident Evil 2 or 3 game on PS3 in PS3 graphics. Sure the story takes place in between those games, however does not have the same feel to it at all.
All the controls have changed. I compare this game to playing Socom or something. Run and shoot. Run and shoot. That's all you'll be doing in this game.
You always lived on the right side of the law. You paid your taxes, went to work or school each day and maybe you even walked little old ladies across the street. That was then. At some point it happens to everyone, and now it's happened to you — you're thirsty for mischief, you're bent on destruction and you're becoming Twisted. Dark city streets make up your new turf, and when you turn yourself loose to tear them up, there's no stopping you. You screech down the road in a fast-flying car built for destruction, weapons in hand, a mad glare in your eye. Morals? Conscience? Those seem laughable now — and reckless ransacking is just too much fun in this new Twisted world. The classic, devilishly demented shooter action of Twisted Metal is back exclusively for PlayStation 3, delivering clearer detail and madder action than ever before. An elite fleet of more than a dozen new and familiar fear-inducing vehicles and a huge selection of deadly weapons are at your disposal, letting you choose your favorite methods of devastation. Whether you embark on a solo rampage to dismantle enemies and win the Twisted Metal tournament or team up with twisted friends in split-screen or online modes, your inner dark side will be unleashed with psychotic powerups in every high-octane level. The thrill of evil is beckoning, but be warned — once you go bad, you never go back.
The Twisted Metal series is one of my all time favorite video game series of all time. I was thrilled when a new Twisted Metal came out on current consoles. I knew that at least meant better graphics and sound.
When I beat the game all ways possible, I just thought to myself "why did they make it like this?" Every character can drive someone else's vehicle. Right there was a mistake for me. Just like the personality of the character comes the personality of the car to match. Mr. Grimm on a motorcycle, not a semi truck, ice cream truck or fast car. Sweet Tooth shouldn't drive a semi-truck either.
In addition to that, we only see 3 characters story-lines. Maybe it was 4, I can't remember. Regardless, how about everyone else?
Overall, the game was fun to play and had the most crisp graphics out of any Twisted Metal. Just wish the story selection would have been better.

What's great about it: A new Twisted Metal came on current consoles with updated graphics.
