It's a LOVE/HATE relationship

Overall this is a good purchase. Personally I have a few things that I HATE about this computer and some things I LOVE about it.
HATE:
The mouse pad is too big. I don't have small hands but it is difficult to control the mouse on this touch pad. there are no dedicated left and right mouse buttons either so you spend a lot of time clicking on what you think is the right area only to look down to see you are several inches off.
CORTANA: Ugh...I know this isn't really a reflection on the computer itself, but it drives me nuts. It should be so much better than it is. My cellphone can pull up better results that this program can. Waste of space.
Not up to date. When I brought this home the first thing I did was turn it on and watch as every icon on the screen was disfigured. I had to install new drivers (not automatically installed) just to get the thing operational. For being a newer computer I would think that something as basic as graphics would have been good to go.
Freezes up when coming back from sleep. It takes a long time to wake up from sleep (well longer than I would like) and when it does the screen takes awhile to catch up. Many times I will fall asleep with netflix playing and when I wake to turn it off I have to wait 5 minutes or more for the screen to decide to be fully usable again.
Automatic Windows Update - I don't care what anyone says Windows update is the biggest issue I have ever had with any computer and now with Windows 10 it takes a bit of digging to figure out how to disable it. Again, not really a reflection on the computer itself, but still frustrating.
LOVE:
Speakers and screen are amazing. Loud speakers, bright screen.
Backlit display is pretty good - I wish there were settings to change the brightness
Touch screen has been wonderful. I really like this addition to the laptop computer world and this HP model has had no issues with responsiveness.
Charges really quick (yes it is only a few months old). Full charge is usually complete in less than an hour. Battery life can last for many hours depending on how heavy use you have it on (P.S. backlit keyboard drains a lot of battery, turn it off if you aren't using it).
Well built. This is a sturdy computer. You can pick it up by the screen without worry, drop it from waist height, smash your fists on it in anger and it will still hold up. Yes I have done each of these things, and No, I do NOT recommend you try them yourself - but if you're gonna do it anyway it is a good computer that can take slight occasional beatings.

Meh...it's ok

This unit is louder than any other fridge I have owned. While it is still minimal, it is noticeable every time it kicks on.
It has a good amount of storage space, but the door storage is limited. The standard shelves that comes with it only allow for average sized condiment bottles to be stored (think ranch dressing bottle sized). Any "family- sized" or taller bottles will not fit properly (even larger ketchup bottles don't fit). There are two places for larger items, but those spots are generally reserved for juice and milk jugs, not condiment containers.
The drawers in this fridge are larger than your average bins, but also don't seem to slide as well - almost like they are just sitting on the bottom, not actually attached to the lower shelf. The middle drawer moves from side to side (which is totally cool) but also takes up precious space that could otherwise be used to accommodate the tall condiment bottles.
12-pack cases of soda fit perfectly on the bottom shelf, but bottles of water do not. This really limits the use of the lowest shelf setting.
There are not a lot of configurations that work for this fridge. You have to place the top shelf all the way up if you want to have room to store items under the drawer on the middle shelf, and same applies to the bottom shelf - it must be on lowest configuration in order to provide adequate room for the middle shelf. I suppose other arrangements could work, but so far this is the only way I have been able to make it work for my purposes.
The glass shelves are very nice looking, but I wonder how well they will clean up. I have kids so we are bound to have spills at some point or another. Since the shelves are all glass I can foresee liquids being caught in the crevices of plastic that hold the glass in place and protect from sharp edges.
The freezer is a very good size. Full sized pizza boxes can fit well in any direction. The door storage is a bit lacking compared to the refrigerator compartment as the only bar holding items in place leaves quite a bit of space for smaller items to fall through. Larger items such as cylinder juice containers stay put, but thinner items such as single pound packages of hamburger fall through.
I have only owned this fridge for a few weeks, and so far it has been good. It may just take some getting used to, but I wish I had spent more time looking at other options rather than purchasing the one that looked the prettiest.
Other things I didn't notice in the store:
The front of this fridge is actually curved - if you have a magnetic board that you place on the front it will not lay flat
You cannot actually see the items on the top shelf when it is in the top position - you have to bend down to see. (I am 5'4" for reference)
It does not have a temperature gauge that you can change to a bunch of different settings - you can only choose colder, warmer, or middle.
The light in this unit is an LED which is more costly if you ever have to replace it.
It is the same size as most standard refrigerators. I think it was a little taller at 64.75 inches tall, but for the most part takes up nearly the same amount of space.

Great Price, but needs structural improvement

First things first; I HATE HATE HATE Windows 8 - it is not a platform that is compatible with a regular laptop. Works wonders on a tablet or a touchscreen computer, but if you are at all used to how a desktop or normal laptop operates you will have a hard time getting used to Windows 8. Since this computer comes standard with Windows 8 I had to make due.
As for the computer itself, it was well built, sturdy, had all the features I needed (HDMI, USB, DVD, Ethernet, SD Reader) however there were some issues with the USB ports that I have never experienced before. There are three USB ports on this model (not enough for me, but I made due). The problem was that if you had something plugged into one of them, you could not plug another USB into the one next to it - the ports themselves are too close together. I probably could have forced them, but I didn't want to damage my USB's or the computer.
Performance wise it was great - well as great as you can get with 320GB processor. You can really only do one major task at a time, like you could watch YouTube, but only run two maybe three screens at a time because the processor just isn't big enough to handle all the data. 320GB is not enough room for all your media (maybe it would be if you didn't have the resource hog Windows 8 clogging up the system). If you are just watching Netflix or using MS Office (and don't need several screens up at once) this model could work for you.
One other complaint I had was the reset time. I had finally had enough of Windows 8 and decided to return it to the store, I went to do a factory reset on the computer and then proceeded to wait, and wait, and wait. Now this is a process that takes a little bit of time, several hours usually., but in this case I started it at 2:51 pm. By 7:34 pm it was only at 27% Absolutely Ridiculous!
It does have good sound, video image, and headphone jack which is NOT located on the front of the laptop (which is an improvement). It is easy enough to initially set up, but if you are not accustomed to Windows 8 you may struggle with finding the programs you usually use. Load time is average, not lightning fast, but not slow either. The touchpad is also very tricky to get used to. It is bumpy - not smooth like other touchpads (I liked the bumps) - but you need to learn how to use the touchpad to use the new features that Windows 8 has to offer.
I would not recommend this model to anyone other than the casual internet/computer user. This would not be a good gaming, movie downloading, business, or multitasking computer.
One other positive note: When I returned the computer it had to be the easiest transaction ever. When Best Buy says no questions asked - they really mean it. So even if you decide you want to give this one a go, you have 30 days to change your mind
What's great about it: Lightweight
What's not so great: Windows 8, USB Ports are too close together so you can't plug in more than one at a time

Too big &heavy to carry around campus?

Yes, this is a large computer you will not want to carry it around on a daily basis. My shoulder hurts just carrying it from the car to the house occasionally.

This 20 cubic foot refrigerator has a counter-depth design that gives it a built-in look. But the beauty of this French door refrigerator goes beyond the exterior. The ExtendFresh Temperature Management System and Produce Preserver help keep food fresh. LED lighting throughout the refrigerator makes food easy to find on every level.

How would you rate the "noise" level of this refrigerator compared with other brands/models?

Noise is noticeable, but not intrusive. You will hear it kick on, but if you are watching tv or doing something else, it will not interfere with day-to-day life.

It is louder than most other models I have seen/used
