In my opinion a monitor stand is pretty much a monitor stand. This one has sturdy construction, looks fine and is at a good price.

Great no frills desk at a great price

I bought this desk to go in the corner of our "great room" (24'x18' room that functions as both a dining room, sitting area and this desk for small office space). It has a nice modern look to it and being all metal and glass is sturdy for the price (I'm not a fan of the pre-fab desks that break easily).
I got it for under $60 so value wise it is a great option for those who want a nice looking, sturdy desk but don't want to spend a lot of money. It would not be large enough or functional enough (i.e. no storage) if I were using it for my main office, but for those who just need something to place their laptop on or have a small computer set-up for the kids, this would be a good desk.
