Perfect Upgrade for Me

I wanted to upgrade from a Nikon d40x to a camera that was faster and better in low light. I considered the d7100 with the 18-140mm lens but for the same price I could get the d7000 with the same lens and I could also purchase the 85mm f/1.8G lens. The d7000 has exceeded my expectations. I am still learning about the camera but when I am unsure of what settings to use in a situation I put it on auto or I use one of the scene modes. I am really happy with this purchase!

I purchased this lens for my Nikon d7000 and they work perfectly together. I love the creamy bokeh effect I get when I take portraits. I have also taken some very beautiful sunset photos with this lens. A superb lens!

I do a lot of portrait photography, about 60% outdoors and 40% indoors. Will this be compatible with my Nikon D7000?

Yes, it works with the Nikon D40X and it auto-focuses as well.
