Purchased these yesterday to enhance television audio. Not much better than the built-in ones that came with the TV. Muddy with NO bass. Has a hum when no audio going through. Bose Companion 2 are a much better deal for the same (or less) price!
What's great about it: Looks (subjective)
What's not so great: Sound (what are speakers for?) & hum.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro Lens: This Canon macro lens enables life-size magnification of small subjects. The included macroflash makes it easy to take close-ups even in dim lighting, while the inner focusing and ring USM offer sharp images with negligible blur.

Great 'consumer' lens!

Just getting back into photography and is my first venture into the 'digital domain'.
This lens certainly is worth the price of admission. Pictures are very sharp with great bokeh!
All my lenses are Canon (EF 15-85mm, EF 70-200mm f/4 L & of course, this one) and am extremely pleased with all of them.
What's great about it: Great macro capability
What's not so great: None ... so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Which camera to buy?

I am looking to buy a camera to take pictures mainly of my 3 sons playing sports. Which camera/lens do you recommend?
Check out the Panasonic Lumix line. IMHO, they make some of the finest 'point & shoot' cameras on the market!

I am buying my first DSLR. Which would be a better choice the Nikon D90 or the newer Canon Rebel T2i?

Depends. Do you have any Nikon or Canon lenses? If not, go to a camera store and hold both. Which feels better in your hands? They're both fine products & you will be happy with either. Oh, by the way, I have the T2i.
