Best BIG 4k for the money

I used to have the 65x930C and unfortunately had a flew blown pixels and the tv could not be repaired so I got my money back towards another TV. I was just going to get the 65x930D, Oled or the Sony Z9. When looking at the cost of each and how much I paid for the 930, I knew that if I got the 930d, I was probably not going to be as happy because the tv would look smaller due to the speakers on the older model and really started thinking about this set.
The Oled while amazing is not as great as I think some people have it rated and with burn in a very firm possibility when I tend to fall asleep on the couch, I immediately ruled it out. I personally think video and audio are subjective to each person, and even thought I could read off every spec about the OLED, I just didn't love it when viewing in the store or on one of my friends sets. I really think it lacks a lot on 1080 content, their upscaler is NOT on par with Sony's.
Then there was the z9, Sonys flagship model. The Z9 is an absolutely flawless screen and I preferred it over the OLED, but at $5500 for 65 inches, I just could not pull the trigger. And ther was no way I was spending 9k on their 75 inch, even if I really did see the value of that tv, like I said flawless.
I decided to spend a little more money and grab the 75x940D and I am very glad i did. I used to think that tvs above 65 inches just did not look all that great. This tv changed my opinions drastically. The black levels and color on this set when watching 1080 or 4k content are amazing! I have mine paired with Panasonic 4k blu ray player(owned the Samsung as well until the Panasonic came out), Marantz Receiver and bowers and wilkins tower speakers and I may never go to the movie theater again! I love the new remote with the voice controls in it, last years model had two different remotes and that was pretty annoying.
I also have a small fortune tied up in Audioquest Vodka cables and a Panamax power conditioner. "Experts" might say that hdmis do not make a major difference, I switched between some lesser expensive and my new cables I got for this tv and there was definitely a difference. especially with audio, that you just do not get with other cables.
The only con I have for the tv is the darkened corners which other reviews had eluded to, but knowing that could be an issue, I only noticed them when I was starring at those specific spots, you just don't notice them during normal viewing. I will get the tv calibrated once I have 200 hours or so on it, I have had other tvs calibrated in the past and they have only gotten better with the service done. Even if that issue isn't cleared up, I will still say this is the best 75 inch on the market unless you consider the Z9 or OLED, but in the price range you get for those sets, you could buy 2 or 3 of these. No 3d glasses with the set, but I could care less as I hate watching anything in 3d.
Sony in my opinion is the only brand worth considering in 4K, i know a lot of people like Samsungs and I get that they are the "it" brand now, but if you want awesome natural color and great black levels, pick this set up!

Amazing!

I could go on and on about how amazing these speakers sound but my words are just that. You really need to find out for yourself how amazing they are. I went with the white because I wanted a different look and my girlfriend wanted me to get the black ones, but even after that she loves the speakers as well. DO NOT go cheap on your HT components as you will not get the full range of what these speakers can do. I went with a Marantz 6010 at first and moved up to the 7010 and the difference was very noticeable. I planned to eventually go with a separate Amp and pre amp but at this point the 7010 is doing everything I want and then some.
Many people will tell you that you have to get a center channel with these. I also own the cms2 Center, but I really did it more for the look of my home theater setup than lack of audible dialogue issues. The center was an improvement and I would not take back the purchase but if you set these up correctly, all you really need is a great receiver and good sub. I am pairing mine with a Martin Logan dynamo 500 and it is more than adequate, I actually have it turned down pretty low.
The only con for these speakers is that I wish I would have purchased them sooner. The sales people at Best Buy were Awesome(capital was intended), and they got me everything I needed without me asking for it. I had don a ton of research about my setup and knew that I was going to be spending close to $9k on my audio, they helped me save some money in ways I was not expecting and was a great experience.

Good, not great

I previously had the Samsung 4k player and had little to no issues with it. It would freeze up every so often, but I don't have a lot of faith in their products anyway, so I just took it for what it was. After speaking with someone who had similar issue and they upgraded to the Panasonic, I took my Samsung in and Best Buy was awesome and let me exchange it out even though I was past the return policy.
Now onto this player, I love the remote and all the picture settings that you can play with. However I am noticing the edges of my tv are lit up since I plugged in this player. Now it only does it on a true 4k disc(HDR setting, I get it), but it is a bit of an annoyance, especially in low light settings. I currently have this tv hooked up to Sony 65x930c, but because of a few blown pixels, I just ordered a 75x940d that will be replacing the set. The 940d is full array backlit, so I am hoping this helps with the issue. If it does not, I may end up returning and going back to the Samsung even though, I am not really a fan of their home theater equipment. I am also going to be upgrading my audioquest hdmi cables as the ones I have were always intended to replaced once I bought tru 4k player and well because I know they make a difference.
I love Panasonic products and was very disappointed when they got rid of plasma, I would like to think with a few adjustments, that this will be worth the purchase, if not, Ill get my $350 back and just get another Samsung.
