Decent Bargain Speaker

I purchased these speakers as part of a budget upgrade for my commuter car, a 2001 Camry. The stock speakers had dry rotted & for the price I can't complain. They are bright along with the JVC 4 way 6x9's I replaced the deck speakers with. They are power by a JVC KD-R300 & I also have a single 10inch sub & amp from my last commuter car.
Sadly, I did not buy the other speakers & the head unit from Best Buy. The internet to store order was approaching 7 days & I ordered the head unit & 6x9's from other e-tailers. Both were ordered several days after my order here & both arrived/were installed three days before I got these. BB fix this problem or you stand to keep loosing my business.
Overall, the JVC speakers & head unit are very well matched & sound very good considering the system cost under $125 & less than 2hrs for self-installation.
What's great about it: Clarity, Very Good Highs & Voice Reproduction, Can handle relatively high volumes without distortation.
What's not so great: Touch on the "bright side", Grills are useless
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Budget Enclosure

This a well built inexpensive enclosure for a budget or entry level build. I chose it to enhance the sound of the factory Bose system in my Nissan. This enclosure houses a Coustic sub, powered by an older Profile amp I had in another vehicle. This enclosure is very nice. My carpet is flawless& all joints are sealed completely. It is a nicer & deeper grey than pictured on this site. My sub was a tight fit, but the cutout was round (took a rubber hammer & towel pounding to seat the sub). At my purchase price I could not have built a better enclosure.
It has a very strong odor of adhesive & the speaker terminal is very, very cheap. I also cut off the large & metal nameplate that is not in the pictures.
What's great about it: Build quality, Low price, Small Footprint
What's not so great: Speaker terminal, Odor, Nameplate, Odor, Shipping box not padded at all mine had a small handling dimple
I would recommend this to a friend!

got pioneer deck want replace 6x9s and 5.25s what should replace them with

i have a pioneer 50x4 deck and want to replace 6x9s and 5.25s what brand and how many ways do you recommend
I did this same upgrade except I used JVC components based on different online reviews & price. I have never bought them before, & actually like pioneer. I would suggest buying Pioneers speakers with RMS power ratings slightly lower than that of the head unit. This is purely my preference, I believe that speakers with higher than power ratings will put to much of a load on the head unit. I always add a single 10 inch sub to round out my systems. I want it nice & clear in the car, don't care if I rattle the mirror in front of me.
