The price is right, as is the packaging. And while the audio and video for both films is what you'd expect from blu-ray, it can't save these films. So if you enjoyed either one, by all means, this is the set for you. Otherwise, this is not a recommended blind buy.
As is often the case, the sequel isn't quite as good as the original. That's not to say Cloudy 2 is a bad movie--it's definitely worth watching, and owning.
From a technical standpoint, the 3D blu-ray edition offers stunning video and audio.
"Don't mess with the past" could well summarize both the film plot and this 3D release. This high def transfer kills off most of the original film grain, reducing detail and making things look rather plastic-y.
The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus is vintage Terry Gilliam (the creative genius behind 12 Monkeys, Brazil, and the Monty Python classics). In any other film, the untimely passing of a lead actor would have sunk the project. In Imaginarium, Gilliam was able to get Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell to take on Heath Ledger's role and complete the film. Well acted, well written.
