Another amazing album from Mark Tremonti and company. Their first was one of my favorite albums from a couple years ago and I think this album tops that one. If you were a fan of the first, you will no doubt like this one.

As a fan of all the previous bands from all the members of Saint Asonia, I figured I'd be a fan of this album. And I was not let down. Though I was never a huge fan of Three Days Grace, I thought their best album was Life Starts Now. And this album ranks up with that one. There are some songs that have a bit of an edge to them, more than Three Days Grace ever had. Think more early Staind.
If you like Adam's voice you will like this album. There are a few slower songs too. I prefer the heavier stuff, but there wasn't a song I pressed skip on.

For 5 albums in a row, Unearth has not disappointed at all. This album continues what they have laid as the ground work with the past releases. I do have to admit there is an extra layer of something on this album. It still sounds like Unearth but like the injected a little big of extra juice into the mix. I have to say it's probably my least favorite of their 5 major releases but it's still a great album.

I have to admit I'm not the biggest Foo Fighters fan, but I did enjoy their last release. The first 6 tracks on Sonic Highways are good but the last 2 are too long and have been removed from my track list. The rest of the album is good though.

Slipknot has returned! Even missing two members, they really haven't missed a beat. Though this album is near the bottom of my Slipknot rankings, it's still great. As always, there are a few tracks that can be removed but there is still a strong album here. Pick it up if you are a Slipknot fan, you won't be disappointed.

The Ghost Inside is back with another solid release. If you have been a fan since the beginning this should be no surprise. However this is my least favorite of their 4 releases so far. This is the first album that I deleted a song. "Phoenix Flame" was a little outside the normal TGI but the rest of the album is strong.
If you enjoyed their first 3 releases you will enjoy this one.

I've been a Nonpoint fan since the first album and following the departure of half the original band, they are a different band. After the very disappointing Miracle, The Return picks up where the self-titled album left off. It's not as strong as the self-titled but if you enjoyed that album you will enjoy this one.
But if you are hoping for something as good as any of the first 5 albums, you won't find it here.

This album is much better than Apocalyptic Love. I have to admit Slash is a little outside my wheelhouse. I prefer a bit heavier rock but this album will be in my rotation. I'm a big Alter Bridge fan and after being disappointed with some of the vocals from Myles on Apocalyptic Love, this album is a real bounce back. It's more straight up rock than Apocalyptic Love.

Another solid Godsmack release. This is probably their 3rd best album in my opinion behind the self-titled and Oracle. If you are a fan of previous Godsmack releases you will be happy with this one.

Demon Hunter keeps putting out consistent albums and this is no different. It's not as good as their last 2 albums but still a really good metal album.
