Perfect for Quick Light Switching

I use this in my home office / den to control the lighting scenes. The space is a 'flex' space that acts as a home office during working hours, and as a relaxation/video games/tv space in the evenings and weekends.
The Hue system is perfect for me as it lets me cater my lighting to my use. The Tap lets me quickly change without unlocking my mobile phone.
It's awesome it uses no batteries, which means I never have to worry about it dying on me.
It does have one quirk, the 2-3-4 buttons must be pressed in a certain way. What I've learned is that the trick is to press the button closest to the center of the tap. For example, Button 2 is on the left side; putting my finger on the far right edge of Button 2 and pressing it reliably triggers the proper scene. Button 3 pressed from top of button 3, and Button 4 to the furthest left of the button.
It's much smaller than you might think looking at pictures of it on the web, it is in fact a good size. Not too big to be obtrusive, not too small as to be hard to use.
Other than that one quirk of learning how to press the buttons, it works perfectly.

Excellent Sound in Small Package

This is an excellent speaker. I have the 2.0 Beats Pill, which is the newest "non-Monster" version. The other ones on the site may be the old ones that were originally created by Monster with the Beats name instead of the Beats Electronics pills.
I was able to pair this with my iPhone within 10 seconds of turning it on. It also lets me customize the name of the device in case I have multiple pills. The sound it puts out for its size is simply amazing.
I love that the Beats button on the front allows me to adjust the tracks, pause/stop, and pair a new device. I love the form factor that allows me to put it anywhere I want with no problems.
I ran into two small issues I would love to see Beats resolve with a firmware update, and if they do this would be a 5-star review. First, when I unplug the pill while playing, it stops the music and I have to start it again. Second is the volume control; the physical volume control buttons on the Pill should also adjust the iPhone's volume simultaneously. This is functionally how the Beats Studio Wireless headphones work, and I'd like them to replicate this capability to the Pill.

Best Headphones / Best Wireless Headphones

These are, simply put, the best headphones I have ever owned. This includes both the wired and wireless varieties.
I connected these wireless to my iPad Air & my iPhone and they worked flawlessly. I was streaming audio from Spotify, using music on my device, and even watched several movies wearing these.
Unlike prior Beats products which were made by Monster, these have very balanced sound. While the traditional bass is there, it is very obvious they are providing a much cleaner sound now.
These are essentially the Beats Studio with wireless built in. This adds a little bit to the price, but this versatility is well worth it. I can use these headphones wired or wireless, which means I get the versatility of wireless but can still use them on an airplane or with non-Bluetooth devices like my Nintendo 3DS.
My only complaint is the carrying case,which I felt was a little spartan; I wish it had a couple of pockets inside to hold cables instead of having to have them loose in the case. Otherwise, it is a solid case that will protect the headphones well.
I have owned headphones, wired and wireless, from multiple companies including Bose. These have replaced by QC15 headphones as my go-to for noise cancellation, although I still use my QC20 at the gym.
I was hesitant to buy these after buying and returning a pair of the old Beats Wireless headphones. However, looking them over I felt like the chance was worth it since Beats has separated itself from Monster. Well worth every dime of the purchase.

The audio quality of the headphones is excellent. The noise cancellation is top notch and creates absolute silence; I use them at the gym to block out all of the noise.

Wish I had done some more research before I bought this, but for only $35 it was worth a shot.
I bought this to use while I travel in hotel rooms, sounded good in theory but most hotels these days have a splash page where you have to accept their terms and conditions. This basically stops you from using the Chromecast at all. So if you are looking to use it for travel don't bother, haven't been able to use it at the last 4 hotels I stayed in.
With that said it was easy to setup on my home tv and worked fine. but I really don't need it there because i'm already setup with Xbox, cable, etc...

Bypass Hotel Wifi

I have found hotel Wifi to not be acceptable for anything. Instead, I carry a small Airport Express with me. I plug that into the wired connection in my room, and then I can use my Chromecast, as well as my other devices, with no additional configuration needed.

do these come recharged?
There is a charge on them when they are purchased, but it isn't a full charge.
