I love this group. Just came across them while looking for awesome pirate songs. They have the market cornered on those. So much so that you will learn that you have not been indulging in something you really love in life. Pirate songs. Who knew?

What's great about it: Large Drunken Crowd Singing Loudly, Tuba, Really Good Tuba or Trombone, Played Drunkenly
What's not so great: I started gravitating towards large drunken crowds looking for a sing along about Sally's Mountains.

I consider the PS4 a must buy if you are a console gamer. I wouldn't have been as pleased with X-Box One.
I gave this one star because I have a low threshold for how some bad design choices made with the PS4 make it non-intuitive, cumbersome and painful when it is completely unnecessary. My list will save you money and hopefully help you make some better decisions when picking up whatever version, bundle or release of the PS4 you get. To all that will call me troll in the comments: my reasoning behind the one star is in the last line of the review.
Controller is awesome, except the rubber materiel used on the L3 and R3 buttons is weak. The ridge is a new PS4 feature on the joystick. It gives you hella control. The rubber used has a great feel but is easily torn, ripped rubbed or snapped while browsing NetFlix. You'll be buying a replacement controller if you like playing games.
Small cable syndrome. This was the maddening one. You'll notice BestBuy is out of the longer cords that are sold separately when you return to the store to buy another cord. Because the one that comes with the PS4 may be the one feature Sony completely snoozed on. If you sit further than 3 feet away from your TV screen the controller charge cord is too short. Walllstreet is saying that BBY makes their money on cords and cables. It should be a windfall year for them if they get more in stock. Sarcasm aside, expect this to interrupt your movies, games and quality time with your new PS4 everything the controller runs low. PS4 doesn't charge the controller when it's not on. So you will be either leaving the unit turned on just to charge the controller or standing 3 feet in front of your 50 inch (insert your own) TV while you try to play Wolfenstien. It's annoying. Really annoying, unless your have a 20-30 inch monitor. You tiny apartment / small TV people have been kissed on the head by Sony, the maker of the 80-inch 4K TV display right behind the empty shelf of cables.
PlayStation plus, not advisable, not yet. It's bad enough my PS4 with My PSN login credentials and my PSN avatar that's tied directly to my wallet doesn't recognize that I purchased a year's worth of their service. In what I expect to be awesome, crazy downloads in the play station store under PlayStation Plus, like the PS3 has, I get a lot of ads asking me to buy PlayStation Plus. Even though they know I bought it already. Hey where's the games? It's like the guy running PlayStation Plus thought, hey there's no games out on PS4 yet so I don't have to do anything for 6 months. I'm going to have the Marketing intern run everything until the Fall. And then the marketing intern backpacked across Europe for the whole summer because hey, there's no games coming out for 6 months and I would have nothing to do.
Argh..for a 1 year subscription purchased in March, you will be lucky if you get 1 month of anything other than advertisements for the worst purchase you ever made.

Small comment on Apps. They have no standards...like an exit button. Netflix will have different controls than Amazon Prime than the PlayStation store than blue rays. You will not remember how to return to the movie list or exit.
Headphones. Now since you don't know how to exit a movie. Picture sneaking a movie or a game at 11 at night after the baby/kids are asleep. The guilty pleasure you spend your week planning for. You're standing 3 feet from the 50" TV and you have your headphones on, plugged into the controller that's plugged into the PS4. You are singing the songs of sailors on the open Ocean while playing Black Flag. You switch to amazon to watch the last episode of that show you watch from HBO that is too gory to watch when the kids are up. The volume comes out of the headphones so freaking loud you can either rip the headphones out of the controller which will wake up the entire house, or you can exit the app, oh wait, maybe just turn down the volume, nope, you have to exit for that too. You grab the TV remote to turn down the banging in your ears, not happening because your not listening to the TV. You finally exit your show and look for the volume and if you find it on the first try, let SONY know. Because you should win an internship on the Playstation Plus team. The volume for earphones are so far down in the freaking menu you can't find it. And forget finding a suitable level of volume because you're no longer in the game or app you were in when your earphones were melting your face.
This is such a regression in standards in consumer electronics that I despise my PS4 slightly less than I love it. Thus the one star rating.

What's not so great: Playstaion Plus Ads, Tiny LIttle Charge Cable, Standards for Apps, Controller Material Quality, Headphone Volume Control

I use it in...:Small home
The Guest Network feature on this is fantastic. I have a home with over 12 connected devices, 2 Tivos, Iphones, tablets, Work Laptops, PS3 and a Home Office Network (printers and wireless backups).
With all these connected units, privacy and networking becomes an issue. Tivos use all kind of ports, Work computers like to scan your home network, and PS3s will suck as much bandwith as their little wireless modems will let them. Not to mention all these items can be subverted by rogue software.
Using the guest network feature you have, i believe, six different guest networks you can set up that you can restrict access to your personal network. So I can have Tivos which stream media on one network, PS3 online gaming on another and work laptop on yet another. None of these have access to your home network, backup or printer, and you can create unique names and passwords for each. It is all very easy to setup via the router's graphical interface.
One downside I have experienced is the TIVO ports get restricted by the firewall software occasionally. I have hit the reset button every 2 weeks. For a router that on 24/7, that's probably a good thing.
Two other another inconveniences where the need to upgrade the firmware immediately and the Asus support website. The website made you sign in multiple times before registering your product and looks like the typing pool from 1970 designed it. Firmware upgrade was needed to make some of the features of the router work properly. If your a true wireless environment you may have issues upgrading this. It drove me nuts that I couldn't do the firmware upgrade with a Macbook air.
What's great about it: Multiple Guest Networks
What's not so great: Needs weekly resetting for some ports

I laughed so hard watching the episodes that I got cramps the next day. DVD comes with a lot of episodes so I felt like I got my money's worth. The extras (lo-fi test of concepts) are not so great but with the amount of content already provided you don't really need extras. I would compare this show to Curb Your Enthusiasm in it's hilarity. I'm not sure why it's not a huge sensaton yet. After watching all of these youwill want to by the rest of the available seasons on DVD.
What's great about it: Probably the best comedy series out there
What's not so great: DVD Extras

Wow. Now hopefully they can start all over again. This is the equivalent of a basketball team letting all their good players go and the GMs try to rebuild the team with draft picks. It's still the same team but it's not the same basketball.

I attempted to match this product to an iMac desktop and a MacBook laptop. I couldn't get it to work with either one. I was able to get the router portion to work okay, but the backup refused to cooperate. I kept getting error messages. I called Apple to get better instructions. After several calls I was told that I may have a bad product and should return it. I am really surprised and disappointed, since all my other Mac products work flawlessly.
