Good movie great 3D

So, what do you do as a girl who's parents constantly ignore you after you move to a new house? Get involved in a great movie of course. Coraline is one of the few "first gen" 3D movies that decided not to throw the 3D in your face but use it to help tell the story. The cinematography in this film is outstanding and the plot and acting are above par. The main characters are fleshed out really well and the story never really seems to drag. This movie is good for young and old alike. My one drawback to this package, other than it being REALLY late to the party, is the price. Look around, price match, and get yourself a great flick. One side note; you don't NEED a 3D TV to watch the blu-ray, because it supports 2D playback as well, but it is much, much better in 3D and without the red and blue glasses.
What's great about it: 3D effects, cinematography, plot, acting, originality
What's not so great: price, wait for release
I would recommend this to a friend!

A fun, imaginative film

I was actually quite impressed with the imagination and skill that went into this movie. It is a fun story about a child who is whisked away to the North Pole to meet Santa in person and the adventures he manages to have while on the train. What really makes this worth watching is how it is able to keep the movie interesting and fun without being over bearing. The only complaint I have about this movie is the sub plots. They are kind of trite and lack any type of originality. I don't want to detail them for fear of spoilers, but once you see them unfold you can instantly guess how they will a) progress and b) finish. However, this nit pick does not detract from the movie and it should be enjoyable by everybody whose heart has failed to be a lump of ice.
What's great about it: The animation and voice acting. Pace. Theme. Originality
What's not so great: Sub Plots. A few parts that make little sence other than to move the movie.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What a way to trash a great movie.

Ok, for everybody out there. Stargate is a great movie. If you haven't seen it, you need to. If you have, then you already know what I'm talking about. My purpose here, though, is not to tout a great movie, but blast Lion's Gate for releasing such a poor quality product. I own a good collection of Blu-Ray movies and they all look great on my 1080p Mitsubishi on a PS3. Stargate, however, looks like they ripped a VHS cassette tape and put it on a Blu-Ray disk. Sad. So, for my opinion, I say that your money is better spent on the DVD version. It will be cheaper and look the same.
What's great about it: Its Stargate, nuf said.
What's not so great: This is BLUE RAY! High Def. Why does it look like a VHS dub?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You always lived on the right side of the law. You paid your taxes, went to work or school each day and maybe you even walked little old ladies across the street. That was then. At some point it happens to everyone, and now it's happened to you — you're thirsty for mischief, you're bent on destruction and you're becoming Twisted. Dark city streets make up your new turf, and when you turn yourself loose to tear them up, there's no stopping you. You screech down the road in a fast-flying car built for destruction, weapons in hand, a mad glare in your eye. Morals? Conscience? Those seem laughable now — and reckless ransacking is just too much fun in this new Twisted world. The classic, devilishly demented shooter action of Twisted Metal is back exclusively for PlayStation 3, delivering clearer detail and madder action than ever before. An elite fleet of more than a dozen new and familiar fear-inducing vehicles and a huge selection of deadly weapons are at your disposal, letting you choose your favorite methods of devastation. Whether you embark on a solo rampage to dismantle enemies and win the Twisted Metal tournament or team up with twisted friends in split-screen or online modes, your inner dark side will be unleashed with psychotic powerups in every high-octane level. The thrill of evil is beckoning, but be warned — once you go bad, you never go back.

Great Game
By Greatgamectitic from Ny
I have been a twisted metal fan from the play station till now. Everytwisted metal has been great alot of fun, a little scary, but very thrilling. I cant wait to buy the newest twisted metal with the killer clown or the skull headed biker. This seems like it could be the greatest game of 2011!

Not much of a fan or fan-boy

I loved TM 1(need it) and 2(got it). The endings were awesome. TM 3 was a disappointment and put me off of the game series. Then TM went Black. I loved Black and decided not to touch the later games as they came out so it would not be ruined again.
Oh, and as has been mentioned, you are thinking of Sweet Tooth, the clown in the ice cream truck, and Mr. Grim, the reaper on the bike and side car (my personal favorite). Here's hoping I can play a new TM game after all this time.

Great for the Hardcore MK fan!
By optiklogik from wyoming
I'm waiting to see if Best Buy is going to come through with the claims that if you pre-order it at Best Buy, Then you will receive the Classic Sub-zero Fatality.
Best Buy has yet to advertise this, while Amazon is advertising that buyers will get the exclusive costume and fatality of Reptile & Gamestop buyers will get the Scorpion costume and Fatality.
The actual Press release, states that Best Buy = Sub-zero; Amazon=Reptile, & Gamestop=Scorpion.
Still Waiting for Confirmation from Best-Buy...
(don't expect an answer, because Best Buy's website is extremely unorganized when it comes to upcoming products)

Ah, we have a psychic on the board
February 24, 2011
How else could you rate a game that hasn't hit market yet? BestBuy really needs to stop letting people rate stuff before it is released to the public. How do you know that this won't be a money grab? Many franchise games have done that or have we already forgotten Force Unleashed II? Sorry, it doesn't matter how great a previous game was or how great a company is or was; if you haven't played it you can't rate it honestly.
