Coverage for the Last Mile

I received this along with a LINKSYS EA9500 router to review. While the EA9500 had impressive signal strength, the way my house is constructed prevented me from achieving any real throughput in my master bedroom in the far corner of the house.
I've been through several high power router/range extender combos and this is the first solid solution I've had yet! When I checked after setting up the extender, I was able to get full 75MBps internet speeds (which is my provider's full speed) from my master bedroom when previous solutions were usually only able to get me about 10MBps.
Setup was very easy, and combining this with the LINKSYS EA9500 provided a seamless roaming network. Both the base station and extender have the same SSID and my devices switch between them seamlessly.
My favorite feature is the fact that the setup software reads the signal quality at the extender and lets you know if you've selected a good spot for it.
You can choose to extend wireless or wired by plugging in an Ethernet cable. I chose to use the wireless feature, which involves plugging the extender into an outlet and nothing else.

Solid Build Quality, Good Signal

This router demands a premium price, but has a premium build quality to back it up. It's large, heavy and solidly built.
Setup was relatively easy. If you've set up a router like this its the same process with connecting to the router and going through a setup wizard. The web-based router dashboards are clean and well organized, and all load quickly. I've owned a few routers and this is the first where the menus load up almost instantaneously. There's a lot of room to play around in the settings, but not so much that you'll get lost or end up making changes that counter others. There are also some parental controls built in. I like that I can block certain sites from individual devices. That'll come in handy with my kid's iPad
Signal quality is very good and the WiFi reaches most of my 2800 Sq. foot house from the basement. My modem is wired in the basement and most of the basement ceiling is filled with metal duct work and steel beams, making wireless networking a chore in my home. I added a Linksys range expander and was able to retire a few Airport Expresses with better coverage. There are 8 (!) antennas on the base that can all be positioned for better coverage.
Around back are eight Ethernet ports. Four is usually par for the course, so I was really happy to see all of them. I was able to eliminate a switch from my setup. Also included are two USB ports for file sharing. I haven't gotten around to playing with them.
My only complaint would be the lack of well-defined status lights. Linksys opted for a rather abstract system of lights. Also, I would have liked an option to wall mount the router. There are no mounting holes. Given the weight of the base, I can't say that I blame them.

Surprisingly Good!

I was in need of some noise canceling phones for work to drown out some of the noise around me.
I was skeptical about them based on the price and my inexperience with Jams. The sound quality, however was surprisingly good for the price. Fairly balanced mids, decent high end (a big surprise) with some warmth. The low mids are a little pronounced but easily EQed.
Noise canceling is adequate. Not overly aggressive but enough for office work. At this exact moment my window is open and my neighbor is power washing. I can kind of hear it with no music and don't notice it at all once the music starts.
They're lightweight with nice soft ear cups. Good clamping force and seem to be sturdy. You can't tell from the photo, but they fold up and come with a nice soft case

Great upgrades for my Fiat 500

I picked these up to replace the front door speakers in my 2013 Fiat 500c. The adaptor rings fit the mounting hole well, although I did have to drill one hole on each door since all but one hole matched up. Not really a problem thought.
Bass is tight, although slightly boomy. I'm on the stock standard stereo though, so the receiver is probably just as much to blame.
Overall , these have a nice, warm tone with good presence. They match well with the stock tweeters in the pillars and don't sound out of place.
For the price, these are a great choice.

Sizing. I own the first generation turtle beach headset 600 stealth and the same part on the head set keeps breaking.. would love to upgrade to this model but concerned about default head sizing .. the band is to small for my 7 year old.
These seem really tight on me, and my head is too small for most fitted caps.

Are these compatible with iOS
They pair with Xbox the way the controllers pair, so I don't think they use standard Bluetooth for pairing. I would assume not

Are these headphones OVER ear or ON ear?
These are around ear. They completely seal your ears inside rather than sit on them. So I guess over-ear?

These get plenty loud for my middle-aged ears.

Does this come with a storage case? Manual states that it does, but I did not receive one.
Mine did not. From the picture, I was trying to figure out if they meant the black Styrofoam it was packed in. Mine packing materials broke as I tried to pull out the chopper and immediately crumbled into annoying foam "pebbles" though.

It does not use the accessory connector, so it needs to be charged. It uses Bluetooth.

It is not. The whole thing is one unit, although it is pretty easy to remove the iPad when you don’t need it

Yes it does. It takes a very small 4.5v plug. Something like that may be difficult to source. I wish they had just set it up to run off a 5v USB source
