confused
I am looking at 3 digital cameras around the same price.A Nikon,a Canon and a Sony.Which camera is best? Are all 3 cameras as good as far as quality and functions and picture wise?I bought a camera, don't want to mention the brand since it is good as far as TV's and monitors but 50% of my pictures are blurred so I need to know what to buy.Can you please help??I have a Canon 40D but do not allways like to carry a big camera so I need something that is great for a smaller camera.I've beem looking at the Sony H55 and a Nikon S8000 but can't choose.I like the idea of the panorama on the sony but wonder if the Nikon is better or maybe a canon.Help please.
Personally, I would not get either of the two models you listed. The Sony H55 is alright but low light photos suffer from bad quality, video recording is limited to mono audio and a 720p resolution, and the panoramic function isn't as smooth as it is in their higher end models. I don't have experience with the Nikon so I can't comment on that.
Actually, I think you would be better saving your money and going with either the Canon SX210IS or Sony HX5V. I recently had the choice between the two (along with less expensive models) but ended up going with the Sony HX5V. Twilight and low light photos are the best I have observed from any point and shoot and, based on the various online reviews, are the best from any point and shoot on the market. The videos look great at a full resolution of 1920X1080 (at 60i) and the panoramic function is something that completely surprised me.
Don't be turned off by the 10.1 MP resolution. It is better to have a lower resolution digital camera than one that packs in the extra pixels without improving photo quality. Remember that a bad 14.1 MP sensor is the same as having a bad 10.1 MP sensor.
