Good enough, but could be better

This replaced a similar (non-Coke) model I was using in my office to cool drinks that finally stopped working awhile back after years of service. This is the same size and shape, but as another reviewer stated, it only has a 120V AC cord, not a 12V as even the manual states. This was probably done to 'simplify' the power situation, and if you only need the item for indoor use that's fine, but unlike the previous model I have, I can't use any of the auto accessories to get a cool drink on the road. It also lacks the 'warming' feature previous models had that I never used.
It's okay for me, but it appears this item has changed since it was listed.

What's great about it: Logo design, compact size.
What's not so great: Fan noise, doesn't operate on 12V.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than CFL, but pricey

These bulbs, if you can get them on clearance, are a decent way to upgrade certain fixtures to LEDs. As anyone who has bought a TV recently knows, LED lights are superior but pricier than fluorescents, and that's true for these bulbs too.
If you have a lamp where the bulb is revealed in the open, the odd frills might be less than ideal, but the same could be said for the pigtail CFL bulbs. With these, flicker or waiting for full brightness isn't as much of an issue, and the cost savings on electricity are as good or better.

Are you a notebook user trying to manage multiple applications on a single screen? Are you always on the go, but want to quickly reconnect to your monitor when you return to your desk? If so, the HP Elite L2201x is the perfect complement to your mobile lifestyle with a single DisplayPort connector that lets you instantly plug in to productivity. There are no screws to fasten and no extra cables to connect, making this monitor the perfect complement to your "grab and go" day. The micro-thin HP Elite L2201x, 21.5-inch LED Backlit LCD Monitor may change your view of business monitors. With a wafer thin display head that is a mere 10 mm wide, this is HP's slimmest, business monitor to date. And with a total monitor weight of less than 4 kg that folds flat, it also enables hassle-free portability. The smart design of the easel stand and external power supply free up limited desk space in smaller office cubicles and retail stores, while adding a sleek and ultra-modern conversation piece to your setting. In addition, the wide 16:9 screen enables productivity and multitasking by expanding the viewable real estate to make more applications accessible at once. This monitor is sure to impress the most tech-savvy.

Display Port Only; Good Monitor

This is a very nice monitor. It's the slimmest, most stylish monitor I've owned. It has decent picture, if perhaps a bit too 'contrasty'.
However, as you can see, it ONLY has a displayport connector. This is a new technology. If you have a newer MacBook, you can use it (they have miniDisplayPort). If you have a newer video card in your system as I do you can use it, (check for the displayPort). If you have a VGA , DVI, or HDMI connector only. YOU CANNOT USE THIS MONITOR.
I feel bad for the frustrated people out there, who thought they could get a great deal and then buy an adapter, but it's just not possible. The adapter if for connecting a -displayPort computer- to an -old monitor-.
While I understand the frustration, and feel their pain, I feel the one-star reviews are undeserved. Saying HP shouldn't sell a monitor that 'doesn't work with their computers' is a bit like saying that Ford shouldn't sell parts for their new F-150 pickups that don't also work in a 1998 Taurus. I can understand someone saying 'Oh, I'm handy, I'll buy the pickup truck part and get an adapter to use in my Taurus'. That might even work in some cases. But in cases where it doesn't, is it the part's fault?
The only thing I can think is they need to advertise the fact that it's diplayPort only, thought I'm not really sure how they'd do that without putting 'displayPort ONLY we mean it DO NOT BUY OTHERWISE' in big letters. There's always problems when a new technology tries to replace an old one and I'm sure there were many upset people who bought USB printers and only had a parallel port and couldn't use them. It's not surprising this is on clearance now, HP obviously moved too quickly to abandon the VGA/DVI connector on this monitor, even if it does allow for a striking, slim appearance.
HOWEVER, if you have a computer that has a displayPort (and please, double check. Not HDMI, not VGA, not DVI, but 'displayPort' or 'miniDisplayPort' or Apple's new 'Thunderbolt') then this is a good monitor and I recommend it.
What's great about it: Portable, slim, elegant
What's not so great: NEEDS displayport.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Oddly enough...

I used the Ford Taurus example at the same time as the other reviewer; we both posted at the same time. I guess that's the go-to if you're trying to pick a nondescript car these days.
So my review wasn't meant as a direct response to that one. However, while well-meaning, that review is wrong in saying this is only for tablets or smartphones; there are plenty of computers this will work with, including most modern Macs.
