Great Action Movie
on October 11, 2008
Posted by: kylerownsx62
Loved this movie when I first rented it. Its not really accurrate to the dracula stories, because Van Helsing is a dr not a hunter...but its not a big deal since hes cooler as a hunter :-). Anyway this is one of my favorite action movies and is a must have for any action/vampire hunting fan.
What's great about it: Great Special Effects, Well Produced
What's not so great: Inaccurate Story but what the heck

Great Album

Very good album. My personal favorite Rob Zombie album in fact. He has a deep powerful growling voice and the almost sinister distortion of the guitars fits very well with the theme. You'll love it from beginning to end. Unfortunately the songs are a little short, but the quality makes up for it.
What's great about it: Beast Metal
What's not so great: A Little Short

Of course everyone knows Enter Sandman. But every other song is just as beautifully written. No problems at all. My second favorite Metallica album only to MOP. But still a kick *** album at any standards.

Very Good Album
on October 6, 2008

This album is insane with powerful lyrics "I push my fingers into my eyes", some of the fastest drums you'll ever hear, and a crunching, addictive guitar sound. Great album...although I'm only a big fan of a few of the songs.
What's great about it: Ferocious lyrics and instruments
What's not so great: Only a few songs are really good

Very Good Album

Drowning Pool is insane. This is definately their greatest album. With powerful songs like Sinner and Bodies, you will be head-banging until the unfortunate 3-4 minute songs end. Many of the lyrics and riffs get repetitive too, but maybe like me you don't mind it much.
What's great about it: Great Metal Sound
What's not so great: A Little Repetitive

The film that catapulted Jim Carrey to stardom, Tom Shadyac's Ace Ventura: Pet Detective comes to DVD with a standard full-frame 1.33:1 image. English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Mono. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are also accessible. Supplemental materials include production notes, a theatrical trailer, additional footage, and a commentary track. The only thing missing from this disc is a widescreen transfer. Apart from that, this disc has everything Carrey fans could want.

I bought this album not really knowing what to expect, I was just getting into Metallica and I hadn't really heard any of the songs besides the title track. And I lucked out because it is one of my favorite albums now! METALLICA RULES!
What's great about it: All the songs are head-bangers' heaven

Xbox 360
Xbox 360

Should I get an Xbox360?

Hi! I still have my PS2 and have not bought a new console since. I am looking to either purchase a PS3 or an Xbox360. I have been a loyal sony customer since the original Playstation and have not bought another system. I was really close in buying a PS3 because of the Metal Gear Solid 4/PS3 package. Right now I'm comparing exclusive console games between the two and so far it looks like I'm leaning towards the 360 because of the upcoming release of Gears of War 2. However, I do have some concerns with the infamous "red ring of death." Aside from it's exclusive titles, I would like a console that still works in the long run. Also, I'm not really huge with downloading demos, so would the $199 Arcade edition suffice? or Should I just get the Pro for an extra $100? Another concern I have are the batteries of the wireless controller. Are they batteries which constantly need to be purchased and replaced? Or are the controllers like the PS3 controllers where you just plug it to your console to recharge while you're away? Anyone have any thoughts and/or suggestions? Any pros or cons would definitely help with my decision making. Thanks!
I personally have a 360. Some console exclusives that you should note are Gears 2 and Halo 3 for 360 and MGS 4, Resistance 2, and Littlebigplanet. The red ring of death should not be a big problem. I have not yet encountered it and I've had my 360 for a year and unless you play constantly, you should be able to wait a few weeks to get it repaired. The Arcade Edition should work for you if you don't want to download demos or hold a lot of other content on the hard drive. Besides the hard drive, it's not worth getting the Pro for the 2 extra games either, trust me they're not great. The wireless controllers of the 360 unfortunately do run out of power rather quickly if you leave them on for extended periods of time, but you can buy rechargable batteries or a wire that plugs into the 360 automatically charging the controller.
