Great vacation camera

I needed a good camera for a cruise and this worked great. Pretty good color rendition. Screen was dim in sun light. It was hard to use under water when you used to the speed of a dslr. Definitely from someone who owns a canon 5d mk3 and all L glass this camera was good for its use. Gps was difficult since you had to browse to your coordinates to mark your location

Best stills camera on the market

I have owned the 5d mkiii since release but the 1dx is in a league of its own. The files are cleaner. Adjustable parameters like min and max aperture, shutter, iso. It has way better metering and most importantly that extra ms response that helps get the shot. The 5d is great but as a combo this compliments all the areas that the 5d lacks. It is heavy and the buttons are a little much at times but this is an awesome camera. If comparing against the 5d then get all the lenses you want first unless you shoot sports or inclement climates.

I initially had dropped audio but after a firmware upgrade via plantronics.com. All is well. It now works well with my iphone 5. Being able to tell answer or ignore into the bluetooth is genius. Also the way it wears allows you to have it on all day without worry of it falling out or losing it. Very long battery life.

Great mix of touch and laptop

This laptop is great and that means a lot from me. I do it consulting and have had all the major brands and have been running windows 8 well before it came out. It meets all the needs anyone looking for a small powerhouse could ask for.

1tb hard drive (can be swapped out for ssd if you want speed)
2gb dedicated graphics
1600 x 900 display which is better than all the competition in this range sporting 1366 x 768 displays.

I wanted a family pc my kids could experience windows 8 and the touch experience and be able to proof my photography when on trips and this fits the bill. I was going for the yoga pad but the sd card slot was too tight in the store and the lack of ethernet did not work for me. Also this one me since they had one as an open box and the savings made it worth it.
What's great about it: Laptop with touch
What's not so great: Touch smudges easy

Best Lens Ever

This lens is way better than my 24-105 f4 I sold. It meets and exceeds my expectations. I always wanted the 24-70 mk I but hated the weight and reverse zoom. now I have a lens that looks like a normal zoom but is extremely light and sharp. Yeah there is not IS but if you hold your camera steady I have not had an issue. The AF is so fast on my Canon 5d Mark III. This is now my favorite travel lens. Goes great with the 70-200 2.8 II. Really this setup covers everything. Definetly buy it you will be glad you did.
What's great about it: 2.8 that is light and extremely sharp wide open
What's not so great: price no IS
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Multimedia Beast

This is a great laptop. I do IT consulting and work on new laptops everyday and my standards are very high. Aside from all the obvious I will get to the reason I bought it and what people did not say in the reviews. This comes with a 80gb Solid State Drive that the OS is installed on and a 750gb drive for data. It also has one more bay for future storage needs. It has a comfortable backlit keyboard and a 12 second boot time. It also has a good 3-4 hour battery life on more demanding settings not power saver. The aluminum is like a macbook.
The most important is that it has a 400 nit 120hz led backlit screen. It does have a little gloss but its so bright it will blow you away with how good the screen is.First laptop I had to turn down the brightness. Also the 3d is cool and the fact that it has a slot loading blu-ray drive takes it to another level. I bought this to edit photo's and video's and it has a wide color gamut which is 72% rgb (translation its as good as it gets for accurate colors in a laptop#. There are a few ones like the dell xps and hp business 8860 #dreamcolor 2 display) but for the money this laptop does everything. I also price matched mine to $1324 so it was a steal compared to what you get for that price.
What's great about it: Color accuracy and screen quality
What's not so great: the gloss of the screen under certain lights

Two flaws that ruin this laptop

I was debating on this or the asus u46e but went for this because i have used samsung laptops and they are generally good. This has major design flaws in the track pad and of all the recent samsung 14" notebooks you would think they learned to put buttons. Next issue. The display is horrible with that piece of plastic they call glass. It makes everything look faded. Also highly reflective. If they put glass and not plastic then they would really have something. There are so many better options for the money. Don't waste your time.
What's great about it: Battery life, power, keyboard, optimuis graphics, polymar battery.
What's not so great: Display and trackpad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First it arrived with a damaged box but still the inside box was fine. Here are the pro's/cons
Pro's:
Lightweight aluiminum design
Hd webcam
Over 4.5 hrs on high performance mode
Nice tight dvd tray
Stayed pretty cool

Finally no usb 3.0 or esata. Its mid 2011 and those should be standards at that price.

Got it to complete the collection in HD. Great because it has the standard and blu-ray disc without having to own both.

It is a huge step up from the original IPhone. Each Year they get better and better. This year finally the most needed thing (larger Display). I only wish the 2 features in the plus were in this and it would have been perfect. Full 1080p display and the optical Image Stabilization. The Plus is nice but its practically a tablet and really should have been able to have those features in both. Otherwise very happy with the upgrade.
