GZA is an incredible lyricist. The beats are amazing. This album is really good and you should have it if your a Wu-Tang fan. Just listen to "Animal Planet" and hear how ill GZA is with a pen, it is crazy. Pick up this album from the GZA and other Wu-Tang albums if you like music in general, its top notch!
What's great about it: Beats,Rhymes, and Concepts. Even the cover art.
Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek made a true classic hip-hop album here. Just put the album on and let it play through, and hear real hip-hop from true artists. They are both great at what they do without a doubt and you can tell they put a lot of time and passion into making every track. Just do yourself a favor and explore some true hip-hop music. Also get that Blackstar album if you don't have it, MOS DEF+Talib Kweli= Another classic!
What's great about it: Talib Kweli is a dope lyricist and Hi-Tek makes ill beats.
What's not so great: Nothing, Reflection Eternal is incredible!
Questlove and Black Thought are two of my heroes. The Roots are great, and you should own all of their albums. Black Thought is definitely top 10 greatest of all time in rap history. He is up there with G Rap, Rakim, Krs, Chuck D and GZA. You better have this album if you call yourself a hip-hop head.
What's great about it: The beats and the rhymes.
What's not so great: Nothing.THE ROOTS ARE LEGENDARY!
Track after track Pete Rock lays down nothing short of incredible beats. True hip-hop beats here, and if you don't know about this legendary producer get the Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth albums immediately.
What's great about it: The beats are nothing but the best!
What's not so great: Pete Rock is the best, there is nothing not great about his music.
Michael Schultz's classic rap film Krush Groove comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. English and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by director Schultz, actor Blair Underwood, and Source magazine editor Brett Johnson. A music video, and footage of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis round out this solid package from Warner Brothers who have done right by this cult favorite.

Slick Rick "The Art of Storytelling" Wow, what a great album by a legend in the game. The Ruler proves he still has what it takes to make classic, timeless music. Especially in a time where a lot of bad music is dropping, you need to have this for real....Support Ricky D and grab a copy if you don't own it....The tracks are all great and the cd features NaS,Raekwon & Outkast including many more....
What's great about it: Every track is thought out so well, and the lyrics are crazy. SLICK RICK IS A GREAT!
