Not even 36 hours of having this item and problems began such as a block of icy frost developed inside the refrigerator on the top level in the rear, condensation was dripping from the temperature dial and the motor was running loudly for hours on end. I am having another go by exchanging the item. The item I really which has glass shelves, has been on back order for a period of time, and Best Buy does not know when they will arrive. If the 2nd exchange goes bust, I have to go to the store to try a non-GE product.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
